Leseratte’s Notes

Hi--You asked about "The Bridge of Sighs" (it just came up on my questions list) and I wanted to write more, but Shelfari didn't send me to the comments page for some reason. Anyway, there are good things about this book, but overall I'm not sure I would have read it if a friend hadn't given it to me. There's a lot in this book that I'm not sure needs to be there (maybe that's why you were bored listening to it)--it's like there's a good novel lurking inside the 500+ pages. There are elements that are really good, I think, and he drew his characters well, just think there's "too much of a muchness." Hope this helps a little.

Okay, es war nicht das neuste Buch auf dem Markt, aber deshlab kann man doch ab und an mal hier vorbeischauen und seinen Senf dazugeben :o( Die frag ich so schnell nicht wieder, haha!

Halloechen, ich lese grad ein ganz lustiges deutsches Buch und kann es leider nicht auf mein Reagl laden, da ich es nicht im Katalog finde. Echt schade! Egal, dachte ich teile kurz meine Frustration ;o)

I finished "The Thirteenth Tale" tonight. I can highly recommend you reading it. The story kept me locked in and the ending was great.

Ich hab geheult wie ein Schlosshund und die ganze Zeit an meine Oma und meinen Opa denken muessen (die Oma mit Altersdemenz). Aber ich fand die ganze Geschichte sehr schoen.

I just got into it, maybe 50 pages. A lot of stage setting is going on so far, but it already as drawn me in. I'll let you know what I think when I finish.
