Thanks for the info on the Southern Vampire Mysteries. Sounds like my wife will enjoy them. And they may be a little much for the younger goth of the house.

Hey, how are those Southern Vampire Mysteries? Are the age appropriate for a 10 year old who seems to enjoy Twilight too much and has crushes on princes of darkness?

Vampires, Witches & Were’s all that
would like to invite you to participate in the ABC contest starting on July 1, 2008.
I will post a thread that has the letters of the ABC's list, then start your own thread for example mine would be Sherry's ABC's and list the books that you read with those letters has the first letter in any title of book, it doesn't have to be in the genre either. Each person will be responsible for sending me their points via the group email at vampireswitchesweresallthat@yahoo.com. For every book you read during the time period (until the next letters are posted) you will receive 10 points in the email you must list the title, author, and pages so that if there is tie, we will use page count to break the tie. Everyone is eligible to win, even admin's as a third party will be keeping track of the points for me...so post the books you read...I will post the first letters on July 1.

    As always happy reading..
Show me the books he loves and I shall know the man
far better than through mortal friends.

How clever of him! I wish my husband was good with that stuff, I'm the only one who messes the photos and camera at all.

I did it! I finished that snooze-fest of a book Heart-Shaped Box. I told you I'd get it done over the weekend. It's now going up on Ebay. I don't want it on my shelf any longer!!! :o)

Hey Javacat, how goes it? I don't intend to work weekends usually but I did today to make up for shutting down early for the reading yesterday. So I'm good for Monday, though I can't say what comes next after what I scribbled down would come next......oh, what tangled...

Congrats! I'm not quite done. Prepping for my reading instead. But will get down to business in an hour when I get off. I did not know what I was doing yesterday morning. Just barfed on the page for a few hundred words and then...ta da...It's about a young woman born of gypsies in wartime Europe and traveling to Denmark, Canada and ultimately USofA. Considerable imaginative memoir and magical realism, i.e. fun to write.

You'll be in my thoughts tonight, you cheater, you. I may do a bit of that too tonight. But mostly I have to prep for a poetry reading tomorrow night. So I can't get too carried away after work. Go get 'em!

Whew! I got 2800 words this morning for my first day. And I even kept my editor in the deep freezer. How did you do? Or are you working later in the day? Go go. Let me know. I need to know you are there climbing that lichen strewn rock with me

Wow! I think one can show a great deal of depth based on fantasy. You have a challenging great start. I'm envious. I'm still choosing among 3 ideas, none on paper/computer
