Hey there! _Shaedes of Gray_ seems reminiscent of _Mistborn_ or maybe _Graceling_, both of which I loved. Thanks for the rec!
Actually, I'm having a really hard time reading it. I've only read about 80 pages. It's just not pulling me into the story. I've been considering abandoning it altogether. I hate to do that but at the same time I hate wasting time reading something I'm not interested in. I feel like by 80 pages at least one thing good should've happened to pull me in. Since I'm probably not going to finish, I wouldn't want to keep it for school not knowing what all it contained. Maybe if you really like it, after you read it, you can convince me to give it another try!
Well, since I had already read the first two, and didn't realize it until I went to update my reading list, I guess I'm not THAT impressed. LOL! No, j/k. I like the storyline pretty good. It's been several years since I've read them but not a lot is coming back. Every now and then I'll think "oh I remember this part". I guess I'm picky on audio book narrators b/c I do not like this chick at all. Oh well, very little will stop me from listening/reading a book though. :) I don't have the third. Was it on your audible list? I don't know what all I downloaded. I just know it wasn't on the phone when you gave it to me. I haven't put the ones I downloaded on the phone yet. I'll be doing that after I finish this book.
I can't wait for your review on Once Burned. It has been sitting on my shelf for weeks!
If you're really interested in Nora Roberts, I can give you some suggested places to start. There are some that are universal favorites and she also has some that have paranormal elements that are on that list.
Now, I'm a big fan of the J. D. Robb series. In fact, I'm the moderator of the group on Goodreads and admin of the one here. It's what lead me to Shelfari and I've read the series three times! I don't re-read books.
Yes, I do, and yes, you can! :) Found it used at Hastings.
I will be listening. It's queued up but I'm in the car with my Mom so...it 'ain't happening:)
I'm reading it out loud to 5 classes. They love it! We're a little more than half way through with it. It is different because every few pages the author stops the story to talk directly to the reader. Plus, the kids like the "bloody" parts. I'm enjoying it too (for a kids' read). I will definitely be buying the second book to read to them when we are done.
I'm about half through Dreamfever. Hopefully, I'll be through Shadowfever in time to read Iced this weekend. If you get to it before me, no spoilers! :) Too bad we couldn't be in New Orleans tonight, huh? I so wish I was there!
Yeah, it kinda fell flat for me and there were parts where i just skimmed through hoping it would pick up.
Most definitely! I really like Molly Harper as an author. I am constantly laughing out loud!
Lol!! It's an ARC for the Virgin River series. After that last book, I need something a little closer to the wholesome side to cleanse my palate:)
I read Blooded, I really enjoy it, I need to find the time to start Full Blooded...I'm excited :)
Same here! I've been buried under NetGalley obligations and am just coming up for air. I'm just on page 2:)
Be Mine Tonight Tonight was pretty good, narration was good also. I will definitely continue with the series.
