I enjoy science fiction, military, space opera, and historical fiction from a wide variety of authors.

I mostly read using the Amazon Kindle software now on my phone or tablet, but I used to have a large library of books before I moved. I gave away several... more »

Good military sci fi. Not too bogged down in detailed military planning or execution. The story is a little over the top for a private to make major over the course of a few battles, but it is still good fun.

Awesome book! This book finally gives us some answers to who made who (literally), and Marvin the wacky robot has managed to survive again.
This is a fun book series to read, just what I needed.

Lost me in the last few chapters. The scenes had all been painted maybe a little too well. I felt like I could fast forward and not miss anything... So I did. Sorry.

This is a build up to many more episode around similar future culture where's the only truth is that of the corporation.
Enjoyable read, but the next is already way better than this. Can't wait to finish.

This was a pretty good story. Reminds me of another I have read, but can't remember the name.
This is very episodic in its feel. I can see many small stories in this universe trying to get this lost crew back to earth.

This was a good fast read. I liked the action, but not so much the science. Apparently feed and repairs are afterthought. I would have sent the ship lightly stocked ( every military unit I have ever been in would have had months of emergency rations) and make the crew need to reach the planet for repairs and fuel, etc. still a good read.

This was a fast and entertaining read. The author is obviously setting this up for a much longer series. I like the book as a whole, and hopefully the next one moves the story along a little more. This one had a lot of background and setup before you can really dive into anything.

The main character jumping into the role of captain so quickly seems a little cliche. The captain of the ship could have lived a LITTLE longer to pass on some more knowledge without hurting the story.

The ship combat was fun and action filled. I am looking forward to the next books in the series.
