My name is Jared, I'm a 24 year old college student. I'm an English Education major at Fresno Pacific University. Is it really necessary to say I love to read... I mean, this is Shelfari - "The Site for Books and Readers."

I like to read pretty much everything. I read through a lot of "classic literature" for school and sometimes for pleasure. I go on long non-fiction binges, but usually find my way back to literature.

I have a slight obsession with reading books off of lists. For example, if I get an email that says something like "1 in 10 people have read at least 6 of the 100 books listed here" I make it my personal goal to have read at least 20 books off of that list. Maybe it's a pride thing.

I like to stay active. I'm a big sports fan. I run a lot, snowboard when there's snow, golf in the summer and watch baseball constantly. Baseball is a big part of my life. I coach occasionally, play as often as possible, and do nothing but watch baseball from the months of April through October.

... besides the baseball addiction I'd say I'm a pretty regular guy. « less
