Nevada Jan

I've loved to read since a small child. Now that I'm retired (career in Human Resources) I plan to read the books that I have collected through the years.

Plan to do a lot of roadtrips with my husband and American Eskimo dog "Lacie". Of course, I'll be reading while my husband drives.

Yes, Nevada, I saw the movies about Copote too and enjoyed them both. I have always found it so strange that Harper Lee never followed "To Kill a Mockingbird" with anything else of that quality and length. As far as I know, that is her one and only published novel. Seems she would have had at least one more in her after one so compelling as Mockingbird. I should read about HER life sometime but haven't yet. "So many books, so little time", you know.

    Read on!

Arnie is also a shelter dog I adopted him from work. He pretty much grew up there & was going kennel crazy,we were close to losing him & I couldn't take it. I'm not suppose to have animals,so I have 2 back-up houses if I get caught. He is a Greyhound Pit mix,but if you don't know the breeds you'd not really know. Most people when meeting him pick the Pit out right away. He's a 72 lb. baby & he owns me!

Hi! Thanks for the friend invite! We do share a lot of books.
On our trip we have been accompanied by Cuppy, the cat in my avatar. She is a sweetheart and has adjusted so well to traveling, something my husband and I were unsure about. Her sister, Sweet Pea, stayed back in CT with a friend.
    Happy reading!
