I have had a love affair with books as far back as I can remember. I believe a book should be savored, like a fine wine. Though my book collection is quite eclectic, I especially adore anything to do with vampires, elves, dragons or any other fantasy material. I also happen to enjoy the occasional horror novel as well as some short story collections and personal essays. International authors make my reading list also. My favorite authors are Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman, Nancy McKenzie, Lian Hearn, Dean Koontz, Jean Auel, Kim Harrison, MaryJanice Davidson, David Sedaris, Jhumpa Lahiri, Bapsi Sidhwa and a few others I can't recall at this moment. Aside from fiction I do also read nonfiction, especially books having to do with spirituality and science.

If I've read a book, generally I own it as well. Though the library has its uses, I generally find my books at the used bookstore as I read my books over and over again. I started to list the books I own, but as I said, if I've read it I own it. « less
