    Port Neches: That makes sense. Most people retiring to the area are returning SETXans, but I read where you are "learning to be a Texan." So, I knew that was not your story. Hopefully you are enjoying it. Were you here for Ike or Rita? If so, how did your home hold up?

    I love McCullough books. He is a fabulous writer. I have not read the other biographies you mentioned. I'm waiting for my Jame Madison book to arrive for our next read in the Chronologiical Read of American History Group. I'm looking forward to it. I recently finished The Glass Palace by Amitav Ghosh. Just finished The Boy In the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne. Started The Forger's Spell by Edward Dolnick. I need to get serious about studying for a certification exam in January which means, alas leisure reading will need to be put on the back burner.

    Oh Wow! Port Neches! I just moved to Houston from Silsbee. What made you choose Port Neches as your retirement home?

    I also see you have read quite a few Baldacci books. I've many of his book. May I suggest Absolute Power? It is not on your shelf and it is my favorite of his novels. I just finished reading Chernow's Alexander Hamilton. IMHO, it is by far the best biography of the founding fathers I have read thus far.

    You photograph reminded me of 80's movie star. Any way it seem that i have read some of the stuff you have so i added those titles to my virtual self. I am trying to add all the books i have read as a kid todate then i can review which ones i would like to read again.
