    Hi Jaede--I read your review of Where The Flames Trees Bloom by Alama Flor Ada. It sounds quite good. You might enjoy Waiting For Snow in Havana: Confessions of a Cuban Boy by Carlos Eire. He tells of his boyhood in the 1950s in Havana--a wonderful book of a boy doing "boyish" things and of the revolution that was going on around him and its impact on his family.

    That's awesome. I don't have any kids of my own, but I'm an aunt to seven, five of which by blood. My sister's kids are 8, 6, 4, 2 1/2, and 1. They're a handful, but they're good kids. I kinda adopted myself a little brother when I was in highschool... this kid I knew who needed family, and he has a daughter. And one of my good friends from middle school lives with me and my husband right now, and she has a two year old son. He's pretty cool, and we have a lot of fun having him around the house.
