Jacks

I'm a writer of SF/Fantasy stories, though most of my brain fodder comes from classic literature (don't you love Austen?) or mysteries. I don't know why my brain feeds on one thing, but creates another! I'm also partner and executive editor for a small press that publishes SF/Fantasy.

Thanks for joining the group, and I look forward to reading more of your posts on that group and some of the others you post to around "town." I admire your wilingness to share so many of your opinions and personal experiences. I also commend you on being so proactive and social as a writer -- it's a rarity from writers who can actually write. And you can definitely write, from what I've read on your site. Looking forward to following your literary ascent!

You'll soon see that I'm one of the slower readers! Triathlon training does take up big chunks of my free time . . .although the races I do are of shorter duration than Ironman. I'm trying for a half Iron this year . . .I do LOVE reading though, but seem to always be squeezing it in around other things. So glad you'll be able to join in this month! And again, I'm sorry it has taken me a bit of time to get in touch; I was on vacation skiing for a week so I've been a bit slow on the uptake :). Thanks so much for writing!

    Hi Jacks,
I just wanted to pop by and thank you for joining Play Book Tag. I'm so excited whenever a new member joins. Your profile description is great - - I think it is very interesting that your reading diverges from your writing. I've tried my hand at writing a bit - - blogging for 2 years, 50 pages of a novel - -and I have the utmost respect for someone who actually finishes their novel and get's it published! At any rate, we are going to be selecting a new tag soon for March. We just finished historical fiction which was fascinating. People have recommended some great reads so far. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the next tag. best, Anita

    Hi Jackie,

I looked at your shelf and added your books that I've read. You have exquisite taste. I think you are very wise to delve deeply in a particular genre. I being silly, am all over the place.

The nice thing about discussing the book online is that you don't have to be reading at the same pace. When you add your bit, that chapter moves to the top, so others will see what you had to say. So by all means check out Celebration of Discipline. It's got 13 chapters.

    hey Jacks.........
    How r u?
you're asking about "Kite Runner" ..I say its the very good book to read..
the story about an Afghan boy and his servant's boy...........
the friendship between them, then jealousy about the same treatment given to the servant boy by the Afghan boy's father, the naked truth the Afghan boy don't know about and finally the twist in the story...(if i will tell the twist and truth no point in reading the book..)
so i suggest just go through the book and enjoy Khalid Hosseini's book ....."The Kite Runner"
