    Hi,

Carl Hiaasen isn't thriller, but more like murder mystery with hilarious wild uninhibited reckess characters who take you on a wild ride, better than any roller coaster ride at your favorite amusement park. My favorite by him was titled Skin Tight. But one of his best sellers was titled Basket Case. All his stories take place in Florida.

I have read Koontz, and Coben. Both are very good reads. I'll have to check out Dekker, Wilson, and Liparulo.

    Thanks,
    ~Toastie~

I'm only 100 pages into Killer Instinct. But so far I like it. I'll add Power Play to my county library queue.

Have you ever read any Carl Hiaasen? He is funny. His stories take place in Florida.

In mystery fiction I enjoy an author few have heard of, Gerry Boyle. His character is Jack who is a free lance writer. Jack was employed at New York reporting job but he left it to become an editor of a small Maine newspaper. He finds a dead body of oneof his staff, and discovers a whole bunch of smalll town corruption. Jack has a girlfriend who lives and works out of town. His neighbors are an elderly couple who get him out of jams.

I've read all 8 books in the series. The first book is titled Deadline.

P.S. Thanks for adding me on your friend list.

I was browsing the Shelfari reviews of the book I'm currently caught up in, Killer Instinct by Joseph Finder. Your review was about the best one out there. Thanks.

I cannot wait for Sinner. But I have to, since I am not you, and dont recieve advanced copies of books, of my choice. lol.

Ted Dekker was actaully the first author I ever red, and is/was one of my favorites. After whipping through about 8 of his novels, I decided to explore 'non-christian' fiction, such as Dean Koontz, Harlan Coben, James Patterson. Almost nearly forgeting about the artistry of Dekker, I came across Adam at the store, and snatched it up without thought. Incredible. That's the one word description. Remember Dekker's magic, I bought Saint, and plan on getting Skin and Blink, the only other one I havent read.

Do you, or do you not agree, that Steven James is a unique and emersely talented author? The Pawn was probably the best thriller I have ever read, and since you said The Rook was better, the thought is almost mind-blowing. I will be there in line, at Barnes & Noble, on August 1st, grabbing my copy of The Rook. No doubt about it.

I look foward to being your friend, and exchanging view points on the world of books.

    Have a nice day!
