Love my husband, my 6 year old daughter. Retired Air Force, still work for the gov't. I love my life. Winning the lottery would be sweet. Could then afford the house with the library and sewing room and swimming pool and personal trainer who would make get out to the pool and the gym.

    LOL!
Well, I KNOW we have more books in common just from what we talk about in the groups.
You're one of the people that I look for because we seem to be running on the same track lately regarding our reading choices.

Hey Chica....have you read "Unclean Spirits" by M.L.N Hanover? I just read it and loved it! I randomly pulled it off the shelf at Border's and it is really good. If you haven't read it I highly recommend it!

Hey I have a recommendation for you. I just read a book called Any Given Doomsday....I really loved it by Lori Handeland. It was an ARC I received for free, and I just got around to reading it. It has everything we love about urban fantasy. I highly recommend it!

How are things? I know I have been MIA...but I have been busy with school. Tell everyone on BT I said hello!

I agree that The Gatekeeper was a really good story. I, also, am looking forward to it's being released so that I can re-read it to see what changes were made to the draft copy and also to see our names in the acknowledgments! LOL! That part will be especially exciting, at least for me, since I've never been a beta reader before for anyone. I also agree that it was very different style than her last two books in the series, good but different. On first read through, I found the pacing in a couple of places a little jarring where she would jump around from the different situations, especially back and forth in time a little, but when I went back and re-read those again after I finished the entire thing, they didn't seem quite so disorienting as they did when I read them the first time. Probably because I was looking at it from a different perspective. First time you read, you have no knowledge of what is going to happen. Re-reading is entirely different. It was a very exciting story. Total change in Jake and Kelly's relationship, and I usually don't care for cliff hanger endings too much, but I knew she was setting it up for another book. And she emailed me back to let me know that that was true. The next book will address their relationship and also Kelly's brothers' disappearance. So I am doubly excited for that one to be published. :-)

Dear IYam: You have a very eclectic book shelf. I thought, as retired military and a lover of a good action book, you might enjoy my new novel HUNTING THE KING. The story revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O'Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother’s death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college. Now an archaeologist, she has been recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to discover whatever or whoever is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As an observant Catholic, she is scared that whatever she finds will have devastating consequences for her faith. There is a wonderful YouTube book trailer well worth watching if you have the chance. If you do get to see, please let me know what you think. Thanks. Peter
