Isis

I will start by saying that "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov has been my favorite book at least 5 years now (that says a lot since I read quite a bit!).

I have moved from Europe to United States in 2005. Do not know yet for how long but most definitely for few years. I graduated First Independent University in Poland in... more »

Classic, classic and one more time classic. You should read it. At least get familiar with what it is all about. "The greatest literary work composed in the Italian language and a masterpiece of world literature".

I remember being a little girl reading this novel. Beautiful and hard to put down. I was imagining myself being her.. and falling in love like her. By that time I wanted to be like Kristin. I read it in Polish. Highly recommended.

AN ABSOLUTE MBR! I have read this book three times, once when I was a little girl, than in 6th grade and later when I was 22. Like the narrator in "The Little Prince," St-Exupery was a pilot as well.
The story can be viewed in two parts. First one is more like a description of the world that the author had perceived when he was a child. That is a manifest in which we find that children are blessed because of their imagination and simplicity. The other part of the story tells about Little Prince on the Sahara desert trying to fix his plane. There is the most beautiful description of love and friendship. And fear for life as well. He becomes friend with a little wise fox, who possesses the secret of life..
A book that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. That is a real classic.

Well, I am aware of the fact that it is a classic. And most definitely a must-know novel. I have read it 10 years ago, and need to say that it was not my favorite. For some reason I found some parts of the story extremely slow to go through. And yes, I have read it all and yes, everybody should. But not quite my cup of tea.
