When I started reading I wasn't too much drawn into the action. It seemed peculiar, random and almost a cliche. I stopped. After some time I started re-reading it and after some point it got funny and interesting even if the happening is sort of cliche and at the same time surreal. The book has a note to the reader written by Dean Koontz himself that says he stopped writing the book at one point because he couldn't figure out what's happening and after some started writing it and finished it. I can observe that pretty well. At some point the story gets interesting. The characters are alive, vivid and funny. The dialogues are well written and very funny.
I'm gonna try other books by Dean Koontz in the future.

People need to keep in mind this is fiction and it's only inspired by Frida's life!!!
Even though the story is told by Cristina, Frida's sister, the writer manages to captivate the read through the detailed description of emotions and the events. Bad or not, I identified with Frida. Whenever she suffered I suffered, whenever she was happy I was happy too.
I definately recommend it as a read.

I recently printed out a list with all Agatha Christie's books and I have started to read them in order. This is the first one and I must say I didn't even expect it to be great. But it was! A magnificent work like she always does!
Totally recommend it as a read.

I don't believe that anyone expected to read such a complex story. The road of experience was full of unexpected things. For some it might be shocking, but for other might be touching or even life changing.
Totally recommend it as a read.
I would have said more about this book, but if I start writing I won't be able to stop. There's so much to be said about this book, but I'll let you figure it out on your own when you read it.

This book was much more entertaining than the first one. The action was more complex and the characters were a little bit more vivid. I'm not a fan of the tv show because the characters are not so great, but the books are much better. If you liked the first book, I totally recommend you read the second one too.

It's indeed one of the most explicit books I have ever read. So what? Everyone's entitled to freedom of speech. You just have to be open minded.I really enjoyed reading because somehow I could understand some of the character's thoughts. If the character is analysed from the psychological point of view we can deduct the fact that the girl was troubled.
It's beautiful, naive, self-consciousness and shocking for some.
    Read it!

I've read this when I was in the 3rd grade This is the first book ever that ever caught my attention and brought me in this world full of fantasy and never stopping imagination.
All time favorite, and even if it's a historical book, it's totally worth reading.
    Really really fascinating!

Re-edit: This book as well as the 2nd and the 3rd book from the Twilight Saga doesn't compare to the first book. I loved the first book because of the perfect relationship between Bella and Edward. In the following books, the author just lets us know what happens with their relationship.
Stephenie Meyer knew how important is to end the book like a fairytale. You know what they say,"All's well when it ends well". So yes, it ends perfectly but I'm sure everyone could see that coming.
I rated it 2 stars, because it ruined my impression regarding the relationship between Bella and Edward.
In the last 2 or 3 chapters, Stephenie tries to pull back together that perfect relationship.
Bella kinda of reaches adulthood and starts to realize a lot of things going around her, even responsability and how important is family.

    I didn't like it.

This is the second book I read by John Saul. He really has an unique style. The first half of the book presents the characters, feelings and eventually past experiences. The second half however involvs the reader into the action and in the last 10 pages you find out what really happened. The plot of this book was more surreal compared to "The Perfect Nightmare". I recommend it as a read. If you have a very well developed imagination you will get scared.
I'm questioning myself if John Saul had experienced trauma as a child because his books concentrate more on the torture of the children. Maybe one or 2 adults dead, but the focus is on the children.
