Hey!! I haven't gotten it yet, might just borrow it from the library as it's not something i can see myself reading again. ya know?
:)
I read it last summer actually...I couldn't put it down b/c I was so hooked on it and horrified at the same time, then the ending just KILLED ME!! I was sitting on the deck when I finished and all I could say was "are you f#*$ing kidding me?!?!"
Crazy twist.
Just got a few suggestions from Real Simple so I'm going to add them to my list to read.
Also got the book club girls interested in this site. :)
I've never heard of it...is it good? Not sure why we're chatting on here and not via email.
:)
Yep! It was long in places, but I liked it. Not nearly as good as She's Come Undone. I think he has a new book out soon...
Finished nicked and dimed...HORRIBLE! Don't bother.
I REALLY liked it.. Its very sci-fi and its about a "strain" of disease that turns people into vampires (or that's what they called them in the book). It was very intense! The chapters are set up in sections that each are a different following a different storyline. It switches sections in each chapter. Each section left you on cliffhangers so I always wanted to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. I enjoyed it...so if you like sci-fi type books I think you will too! If you decide to read it, let me know what you think.
I did! It was one of my favorite shows...did you see the one where he visited the Navajo reservation? It made me cry, it just broke my heart...why did they take that off of the air??
This book is very similar to it, the author is in Maine right now, and works with a girl at a Maid service who only eats a 1/2 bag of Doritos A DAY! And she can't afford to buy a drink to go with it so the author buys one for her. Unreal.
What do you think? I thought it was pretty interesting...and juicy.
It's my book club book...not my favorite, but interesting...it's about living on minimum wage in America. I'm only about 1/3 way in so I'll let you know!!
Thanks for the advice on lovely bones! I have heard its great and will be starting it next! ;-) Have a good weekend!!
Thanks for the add! you have some books I am interested in reading on your page! It's great to know what other people think about the book before you start it. Have a great week.!
Welcome to 1001 books. You can keep track of the books you have read from the book, 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die here and join in the discussions on the books we are reading for the month (from the book) or you can argue the merits of the list as some enjoy doing. We hope you will want to join in our discussions. The current books are at the top of the list for that month. If there is any way I or Mossflower can answer your questions about the group or about Shelfari, let us know.
If you don’t own the book the list can be found http://www.listology.com/content_show.cfm?content_id=22845. A downloadable list of the second edition is available at http://johnandsheena.co.uk/books/?page_id=160.
