Indiana1

I am a graduate of architecture, loves jazz and spend almost every evening looking at the stars - as if there is something romantic about it. If I had alot of money I would buy all the books I always wanted to read, but for now the internet is where I get most of the info and reading or sometimes hangout in the very few bookstores that still... more »

i suggest you try the class I'm teaching.
    It's 8 weeks and starts April 15, 2008.

If you're interested you'll also need to contact Brandie Lamprou and tell her you want to take the class.
    brandie@perelandra.info
Tell her that you are enrolling in Story Basics 101 taught by me.
I'd also leave a message on her cell : 858-525-1198

You'll need to mail them a check for the course. Perelandra College will not cash the check until they have reimbursed you the fee for the course and you have cashed the check they send you. This is all being done for tax purposes.

A college donor is donating the cost for the course for all who enroll in this session of the 8-week class of Story Basics 101 that I'm teaching.
you can access the website and read about me from this address: http://www.venus.perelandra.info/moodle/course/category.php?id=2

Over the next year Perelandra College will be starting a MA program in Writing.
It will be low residency, with most of the work done on-line.
This class is the last step in achieving WASC accreditation for them to begin the MA program.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
I look forward to working with you.
Thanks for being my friend at shelfari and taking the course.

So this is totally random, but I saw an old post of yours on one of the movies groups. You may have already found this out, but I don't think the film "Always" was ever a book. It's based on an old war movie from the forties called "A Guy Named Joe". I don't think it was ever a book, but I could be wrong. I don't like the old movie nearly as much as "Always", which just happens to be one of my favorites of all time. Have you ever checked out the website "imdb.com" ? It stands for internet-movie-data-base. Since I love films as much as books it's one of my most frequented sites. Hope this helps unless you've already solved your mystery.

Hi me again Indiana 1, In addition, Sagan puts forward strong arguments for reason and rationality and science in the face of what seems to be a rising tide of supersition.

Hello Indiana 1, At some points I feel that Sagan is setting up science as a way of salvation, a new religion to replace the old ones, taking science beyond its proper domain as a rational, empirial method of gaining knowledge about the natural world. Gbu my friend.

Hello Indiana 1, This book is, by far, one of the best explications of the spirit of scientific inquiry I've ever read. His questions force the reader to think for him or herself, whether they be believers in the supernatural or not. Thanks for sharing this book my dear friend, N gud a. m.

Edwin, thanks for your dropping by and for your comment. I agree with your observation . This the time for the international community, the people and governments of the world especially those in Asean, to extend their solidarity for the people of Burma (Myanmar).

Hi Edwin, welcome to the group. Although there are countless religions, each different from the other, they all serve the same purpose. Each answers questions which all humans seem to be programmed to ask: Why are we here? What happens when I die? How shall I live my life?

Religion helps us to transmit our values from one generation to another, and influences the way we interact with the natural environment. It teaches us how to see ourselves in light of the universe and gives purpose and meaning to life.
