i'm an avid reader, and have been for quite awhile. when i was younger, i made many attempts to hide my bookworm-ish tendencies. however- i no longer mind the funny looks when i am walking down the street with a book in front of my nose. therefore: i am openly declaring my passion by joining this site and hoping to find other book lovers like myself. i like classics, most poetry, books that truly cause me to think and perhaps even redefine my way of thinking, and non-fiction books on politics and third world development. i have two beautiful black and white shih tzus: emily dickinson and ernest hemingway. when not reading, i enjoy hiking, rock climbing, shopping, painting, organizing things, surprising people, watching the office or arrested development, writing, salsa dancing, meeting strangers, walking on the beach with my dogs, and protesting something or another. « less
