Hi Icedream: Have you ever thought about updating your groups site?
Maybe change the name to something like Book Buzz. Change the avatar
to one including a bee and a book. I recently updated the cozy mystery
group : name ~ Cozy Mystery Corner/avatar table setting which includes
a china gun. Just a thought.
Katherine...I added your suggested books to my shelf AND to my list on the PC to watch for. I buy most my books as a Thrift Store....they are hardbacks in LIKE NEW or NEW condition and sell for 75¢.....so when I go every other week I usually pick up from 20 to 25 books. And I find many hat are just out this year too! I appreciate the suggestions so much. I am hoping to make the 50 Challenge this year so this will definately help! And I added your name on the Notes part of adding the books so I can remember who to thank when I read them. Am still working on James Patterson's second book, The season oof the Machete. I HAVE to finish by Friday!!!
kEEP IN TOUCH PLEASE!!!
Your poicture is GREA too....is that you by chance? [y brother has a pictue of him when he was 4 years old for his picture. Actually, it's pretty cute! Can you recommend any books?
Thanks for adding me. I see you're reading 3 books right now. How are they so far...haven't heard of any of them. Sometimes I swear I liv under a mushroom!!! I also noticed you don't have any favorite books. Any books that you would recommend?

Hello, IceDream,
I am Janey's friend here on Shelfari and I poked around your books a bit in addition to reading your profile.
Since you've asked to be notified of new books, I invite you to look at my debut novel, Crestmont, (listed here on Shelfari) which was released May, 2010. Step into the 1920s for a look into the lives and loves of the staff of a bustling summer inn. Themes of grace and believers struggling with how to be in the world abound. I hope you will take a look.
It seems to me we have similar interests and I wondered if you would like to be friends here?
Blessings,
Holly

I actually didn't finish The Road. I may at some point but....
I liked The Lost Symbol. I just finished it last week.
I think you will really like the Julia Lamb books. At least I hope you will. I went right through them.
I am reading Confessions of a Counterfeit Farmgirl. It is pretty good. It is a memoir and I think you may like it. If you want it let me know and I will mail it to you.
I didn't read anything in the month of September. I started 6 books and couldn't get into any of them. Not until The Lost Symbol. I am waiting for the book club to mail me the latest in the Fern Michaels series, The Sisterhood. It is the 14th in the series. I read the first 13 back to back in July and August. Very good series. I have 7 other people reading right now. The first one is Weekend Warriors. I think you can find them on the swap sites with no problem. I did.
I know I owe you an email. Just wanted to tell you I am reading Frankenstein Dead and Alive. I started it yesterday and I am 1/2 done. I guess I am enjoying it. I like certain parts and others not so much, the first two were much better but I like an ending to a series. You really don't need to reread or skim the first two. It reminds you as you go along. if I were to rate it thus far it would be 3 stars. Let me know when you read it.
Also you HAVE to read Cathy Lamb. All three of hers are GREAT! I just finished her third book on Sunday. All of them are stand alones, the titles are Julia's Chocolates, The Last Time I Was Me, Henry's Sister's. All great!
oh my, sorry for the late reply, i thought for sure i'd sent one!
i ended up enjoying girls in trucks, but i've definitely got driving sideways on my plan to read list.
since girls in trucks i've read: if you could see me now by cecilia ahern (which i really enjoyed!), and luxe (which i was actually surprised that i enjoyed!), and now i'm reading white is for magic, the 2nd in the blue is for nightmares series.
how about you? what have you been reading lately?
