I am married to a musician/pilot and I absolutely love teaching sophomore and senior English at an inner-city school in the central valley. It seems ironic that I have chosen to spend my days in high school when, in my youth, it was the one place I most wanted to escape.

I surprisingly preferred this book to the first one. The next book can't come out soon enough.

Kind of like a female Harry Potter thing going for it.

I picked it up at Barnes and Noble meaning just to flip through it and ended up finishing it before closing--a page turner indeed. I had a goofy grin on my face from enjoying each unique character's journey toward acceptance and belonging.

I felt the exposition, while essential, was the least interesting part of the story. It wasn't until the main character started interacting with humans that I started enjoying the book. Unlike the Twilight Saga, I was able to appreciate the finality of the ending and not worry about the next book on the bookstore shelf that will ruin the happy ending--I'm actually hoping this one will not be made into a series, but there are some large survival of mankind issues that could be addressed in future books.

A unique and trippy book that reads like a disturbing dream. This book literally and figuratively represents the power of the written word--a talented writer indeed.

I have to give this 3 stars because there was not enough Bella-Edward interaction. Try as I might, I am unable to feel any attachment to the Jacob character.

It is painful to imagine a world so devoid of hope. The what ifs are haunting. Reading this book is like seeing a car accident--horrifying and yet I couldn't look away.

I wish I'd have read this before watching the show. Up until the ending it was true to the show and almost seemed a waste of time to read, but if I hadn't seen the show, I would have loved the book.
