I'm a slow reader, but I read to get lost in the story and forget about my own life for a while. I'm very drawn to historical fiction, especially ones about women and their struggles. I prefer books that are historically accurate. I read the occasional romance, but nothing trashy. I also enjoy true crime books every so often. Lately, I've discovered the fun in reading young adult literature, such as Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. And I can't forget the classics. Little Women is one of my all time favorites.
