    Hi, Megan.... "Follow the River" is one of my favorite historical novels. I checked out the history via internet and found it is pretty accurate. Alexander Thom actually followed the trail; he knew all the physical aspects of it. What a story!!! This is one book I recommended frequently when I was working at the book store.
