Glad to see you're still semi-active on here. I just got back into it.

I reckon you are a force to be reckoned with. Though our reading interests are very different, I'm mighty impressed with the caliber of your library. And your reading is definitely reflected in your blog. Well done.

Hi. I want to read about the Spanish Civil War and saw you have The Battle for Spain on your shelf. Would you recommend it? or another?

I discovered your shelf b/c of A Time Of Gifts, one of my absolute favorite books. What an amazing collection you've put together!

I found your shelf b/c you have Bury the Chains, which I am reading right now.
We also have quite a few other books in common. I thought that In the Footsteps of Mr Kurtz was a good follow up to King Leopold's Ghost (though it was nowhere near as brilliantly written). I also find Poisonwood Bible a good companion to those two, even though it's a novel. Have you read Heart of Darkness? I feel like my Congo reading is incomplete without it, so it's on my short list (I own a copy already.)

What an extraordinary collection you have! Some need to appear on my Wishlist methinks. I shall have to invent some event as it is too late for Xmas 2006...
