I've been looking forward to reading Kathryne Kennedy's series for ages and finally got the time to start. I have done this all the wrong way around, starting with the latest book, but I found it worked perfectly as a stand alone, and I didn't need to have read the other two first. Love her characters and the enchanting world she has created. I'm looking forward to the other two books. Definitely recommended.

I love a good cozy, but so often I'm dissapointed. Not this time. I loved the characters, especially Della. Good mystery with nice romantic sub-plot. Looking forward to the next one that has just dropped through my mail box.

Every book I've read by Julia Quinn is wonderful. I love her style. Although some of the historical details can be a little shakey at times, I am willing to forgive her anything because her characters are so strong and her plots so entertaining. She can make you laugh then cry. A must buy author for me.

This is a fantastic series that keeps getting better. I can't wait for the next one. If you like vampires and historicals then try this series. But you do need to read them in order.

I read the book but can't find that in the list, so I've had to include the audio version. This is a wonderful historical full of interesting details (I learned so much about the settlement of Australia), romance and authentic characters. I am looking forward to the sequel that is due anytime now.

I enjoyed this book, but was dissapointed with the ending. There's a saying, 'The first page sells this book and the last page sells the next book.' Although I loved this trilogy, I found the ending so unsatisfactory I haven't bought her next series yet. Right up until the end, I was planning to go straight out and buy the next series, but the end was enough to put me off.
