Hello fellow Book Lovers :)

I absolutely adore reading - EVERYTHING!! Most of the time I read for the pure enjoyment of it - but I am also somewhat of a knowledge junkie and really enjoy learning how to do new things and discovering why we do the things we do.

Shelfari has been awesome thus far. It is great being able to share... more »

This book was amazing. Poor Syn - just broke my heart at times. A good man - and truly deserved only the best in life - but kept getting the worst the world had to offer him - depressing. Sherrilyn did a great job with these characters and with this story line - I am excited to read the next and final story in the series.

Love, Love, Love this book. I kept putting off reading it too - because I didnt think I would like it. Nykerian reminded me so much of Zsadist from the BDB. Heartbreakingly sad - but so decent and loving inside. Just a big beautiful dangerous man/alien :) I am going to have to come back to this review to continue it. I just loved this book and can't wait to read the next.

I couldn't even get to the middle of this book. I started out loving it - like in the 1/4 of the book - but after that - I just couldn't do anymore. Hopefully, I will be able to finish sometime in the future. It may just be me given the high ratings I have seen for it. More to come later.

  • Divine By Choice
    • Rated 4 stars

Divine by Choice was a little bit harder for me to read than Divine by Mistake (book 1). I think that being sucked back to Oklahoma was a nice little twist - but it was heart wrenching to watch Clint fall in love with Shannon. He was such a great guy and deserving of the love that she could give him. But of course, her heart is with ClanFintan back in Partholon, where she truly does belong as Epona's Beloved. The end to this book is pretty sad and too sudden for me. The best part was that Rhiannon had a little reality check at the end - that SO needed to happen. I guess for me - there was just so much grief and needless deaths in this book - it made it a much more solemn book to read than the first one. Still, I totally enjoyed it and can't wait to read book 3.

  • The Mage: A Novel of the Sons of Destiny
    • Rated 5 stars

By far my favorite book - I didn't think it would be - but the last book in the series had me cracking up - and had some of the hottest scenes. Loved it!! While the books can be a little technical (for lack of a better word) - the story line is amazing - and the characters - all of them - are totally charming and engaging. Morganen and Hope are a great couple - and it was wonderful to see the series come together.

Who knew Centaurs could be so hot :) P.C. Cast has done a great job creating an alternate world. The book kept my attention and I thoroughly enjoyed the characters - there were a bunch of laugh out loud moments for me. Can't wait to read the next one :)

  • The Storm: A Novel of the Sons of Destiny
    • Rated 4 stars

The storm - how I just love Rydan - the poor thing. This book was the most anticipated for me - I couldn't wait to read about the poor haunted man - and the story did not disappoint - he really has an awful time and suffers terribly daily. Still - this book was not my favorite of the series - which I thought it would be. I am holding out to cast my vote until I finish the Flame and the Mage.

  • The Cat: A Novel of the Sons of Destiny
    • Rated 4 stars

Okay - the Cat was great. It was totally one of my faves from this series. Trevan was too cute and humorous and his woman Amara was a total meanie which was fun to watch play out. At times her attitude turned me off - but there was an overall sensitivity to her and her protectiveness of her sister that kept me engaged in her story. I can't wait to read the Storm - Rydan's story and of course Koranen and Morganen after that.

  • The Song (The Sons of Destiny, Book 4)
    • Rated 4 stars

I think Evanor's story was very sweet. It seems that the subplot behind this romance was much more exciting then the romance itself. Overall I really enjoyed the song. I guess I just like my men more "manly and gruff" then sweet and poetic - but thats just me. I have yet to put down this series. I love each of these guys - and am looking forward to reading the next 4 books.

  • The Master: A Novel of the Sons of Destiny
    • Rated 4 stars

Again - the author does a great job of making the characters so enjoyable and compelling to read about. Dominor was a fantastic lead and I found him to be one of my favorite characters. This book was a little too much into the whys and hows of the universe and the issues with it - hence the 4 star rating and not a 5. I felt - while it was good to get some background - it was a little much.
