Ohmy Jennifer!! I so blanked on responding to your question about ADD books that might be useful to your friend! If it's easier, feel free to have her drop me a note. I can't even remember what question I was asked to answer! LOL ! Have a great Monday. :)

Oh, I spoke too soon about having my books all organized -- today I "found" a bookcase full of books I'd forgotten about. What a treat! I blogged about it over on 360.yahoo.com/linda_bulger if you want to read about the books I found today!

Sorry for the delay in answering you, Jennifer. Some of the ARCs I get are still in galley form, so those I destroy after I've read them.

A few I share with one nursing home. The librarian there knows they can't be sold or distributed outside the nursing home.

Plot & Structure is excellent - one of the best writing books I have. Jim Bell is a friend of mine now.

Some of the books I get for review aren't from the CBA but most are. I only review fiction, but I love to read biographies, too. My husband always gets me a new one for Christmas. I've especially enjoyed the ones about our Presidents' wives.

Is the Parenting book you just got by Mary Demuth? If so, it's a good one.

Disclaimer: I'm a lousy typist, and Shelfari doesn't have spell check, so forgive me. :o)

Oh, Jennifer, I was late for work yesterday because I couldn't find my shoes! This weekend I just HAVE to get my clothes and stuff better organized instead of lollygagging on the computer. I do have the books and the study in good shape though -- priorities! Name a book, I can lay hands on it in 15 seconds or less! LOL

Hi Jennifer, thanks for the invite! I look forward to browsing your shelf ... I just moved to a new house and my books are all in a muddle so it will take me a long time to get mine in, too!

I recently started doing a few reviews and reading guides on Amazon, and Shelfari looks like another great place to play.

Good Day! Yes, Pema Chodron's book The Places That Scare You was very helpful. So was Cheri Huber's book on Fear, but they are totally different. I love Cheri Huber, the pages are filled with simple, yet profound bits of insight.

I haven't read all of the book by James Scott Bell, but the parts I have read are excellent.

Hi Jennifer -- Thank you for the note and the friend invite. I love Shelf, but lately I have not had the time I would like to really get involved -- Yes, I loved all Dennis' books. Let me know if you know anyone similar. Look forward to our friendship and book talk.

    Always, Diana

Jennifer, do you write for Suite 101? I was thinking of writing for them. I believe you must send them a resume first, though.

I just got through visiting your website, btw. Enjoyed my visit-- will be going back to read your writings.

    Hi Jennifer,

I'm glad you accepted my friendship request. I'll be sure to contact Carol. I didn't know she was a member here.

Also, my book has been reviewed by myshelf. There is a book marketing tool kit that you can download from my website and myshelf is listed on there.

I'll be sure to check your website out.

    Thanks!

Hi Jennifer! When we both retired, my husband had a huge retirement party. When I retired, nothing! I worked from home and my company was in California, so I didn't expect anything from them. But I thought my family could have done something! So he told me, along with my one box of books, I could fill another box with what I buy along the way. Pretty good deal, I think. So by the time we get to Cortez, I'll have 2 boxes of books! Also, we're going home for Christmas, so I'll sneak more in then. Hope your day is great! Becca
