I read Sci Fi Fantasy, Sci Fi, Romance, historical novels, mysteries, a few thrillers and bill boards. I love books written by Sharon Lee and Stephen Miller. I even like to read their blogs.

Books to the sky,
My pile of books is a mile high.

Go, Bee!!!! i'm so happy for you that you've lost some weight. 25 lbs is nothing to sneeze at. i know exactly what you mean about changing your diet. i'm almost afraid to eat half the time. that, or i just don't want to because i can't find anything that actually sounds appetizing. you'd think i'd have lost more weight, but nooooooo. the doc says i'm SUPPOSED to have gained a little weight!!! huh? but my levels are pretty close to normal most of the time. actually, i think he's going to need to lower my meds some, because, usually, at least once a day i have a low blood sugar episode. may just be that i'm not eating enough, though. i'm happy for you that you're doing so well. keep it up!!!

i've begun seeing an endocronologist.......i'm sure i spelled that wrong. he's changed my insulin from novolin to novolog and increased the lantus. he also put me back on metformin and that seems to be working really good. i also had not changed anything in my diet.........i have to admit i'm not perfect when it comes to my diet, but i am trying to do better. lol. now, my body just has to adjust to my levels being close to normal. they had been so high for so long that i feel like i'm low all the time. feel like crap!!! it'll get better though as my body adjusts and i'm so happy we've finally found something that is working better!!! yay for me!!! i hope yours levels out soon. you're right, diabetes is crazy!!! when you think, 'oh, i've eaten too much bread'........it'll be fine and then you think 'i haven't eaten enough,' bam, it's through the roof.

sorry i've been mia for so long. i've just recently began to catch up my email and facebook accounts. they were going to be the toughest, so i tackled them first. i had nine months of communication to catch up on. almost done and then i plan on catching up with everyone here. i've been hitting alot of yard sales, peddlers malls and goodwill for books. i've currently got a stack waist high to get to. my diabetes is going heywire, so my vision is shot for the moment. if i'm reading a printed page, i have to have a magnifying glass. and no need to get new glasses until the sugar's normal. hopefully i shall see all of my wonderful friends here in short order. enjoy the books!!!

I read "The Queen's Fool" by Philippa Gregory. It was a great read. If you have not already read it, I think you would like it a lot.

Hi! Glad to hear your Dad is okay and doing well now. All that running around helping him really takes it out of you, doesn't it? But it's worth it, just glad everything turned out okay.

Finally have all my books unpacked and in shelves in my sewing room--the first time all my books have been in one place. But there's a down side to that! I sit there and a book will catch my eye and I start it. I now have seven books going at one time. That's bad and I must get control over it!! I did get a library card here. Very large, nice library, and there's a smaller one somewhere near home, but I haven't seen it yet. I'm thinking of volunteering to work in their used book store. Actually that might not be a good idea, cause I'd just buy more books! I am getting more time to read now that things are quieted down here and I'm really enjoying myself.

We have had some coolish weather and I agree with your brother-in-law! But it usually get warm in the afternoon and that's nice. We have had to turn the heat on at night though.

It will be just me and my husband for Thanksgiving, but we are going back to CT for Christmas. Thank goodness for phones!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family--and to KoKo!
