I'm actually not enjoying the book that much. It's one thing to make a case for a stricter approach to parenting; it's another to just come across as an elitist, smug, and totally self-indulgent... person. But Linda is still going to read it so she can compare Chua to her own less tiger-ish parents. (For what it's worth, Linda is a dog. As in YEAR OF THE dog.)
why do you claim to live in sandy hook, colorado? was that a typo or are you just trying to mislead the masses? unfortunately, i know where you actually live so there's no escaping... see you next weekend!
Ok, Demand-o the Clown, I will prod my husband to contact you...he's been a working/gigging/lawnmowing fool with very little time to spare.
Excellent; I see you're reading Charlaine Harris. I much prefer the books over the tv show that was created from them.
Yes, totally! In Defense of Food is amazing... I'm not a huge fan of fruits and veggies but it made me think about food in a totally different way - i.e. we should be eating food that's FOOD, not preservatives and random chemicals that we can't pronounce. It's a helpful little convincing book that really makes you think about how to shop when you're in the grocery store. Also an enjoyable, quick read...
(P.S. do you like my picture? I was bored......yet again! jeez i guess i gotta find somethin to do! :D )
YES!!!! I LOVE IT!!! you are right by the way...it is like "Harry Potter light..."
:D
yo...i'm so bored! I'm writing to you from my laptop @ school....getting ready for a 2 1/2 hour practice for drama and i hour of dance!
You're only "smart" because you were born in the beginning of the year. Me too.
actually, when I got into writing for awhile, I used October Jones as my pen name:D
I also used to pretend that I wrote articles for a news paper and I used that as my name so I "wouldn't get stalked by the crazy fans".........I know WEIRD!!!!! :D I'm so glad I have friends now!!!! I was lonley before! :D
Nope. I thought it was very "woe is me" for a life story that wasn't especially interesting.
I was under the impression the title would be ironic. I was wrong.
