Eerie and perfect for a cold Autumn night.

Sydony and her brother move into their aunt's home after inheriting it. There are strange rumors about the old lady and the maze she feared. Some claim she died because of it. The house and the few servants willing to work there are spooky. Then an old family friend comes to visit, Barto, Viscount Hawthorne, and things become even more mysterious.

Barto is there to discover answer to his father's death. He knows it has to be connected to his old friends in some way. He is in no way prepared for the attraction he still harbors for Sydony after so many years of not laying eyes on her.

Can suspicions be put to rest and happiness found? No one is certain what will happen next. In the end, will the maze be the source of more thrilling rumors or will all mysteries be solved.

    A fun read.

Emily has always thought she disliked Mark Hunter. She would go out of her way to avoid him. But when her brother disappears, she forces herself to ask him if he knows where he might be.

Mark is more than happy to help Emily even though she fustrates the heck out of him. He soon discovers that she is in more danger than she knows. It isn't just a missing brother she has to deal with.

I enjoyed reading this tangled mess that Emily finds herself in because of her scamp of a brother and his associates,an ex-fiance, a jealous mistress, and mean-spirited gossips. Definitely a good book to put a smile on your face.

    Talk Of The Ton

    A fun read.

The female characters both the herione and her sister are fiesty, for lack of a better word. Beth starts the book out by doing the unthinkable. She dresses in some of her father's old clothes, travels to London and goes to the docks to say goodbye to a dear friend. Little does she realise that her mode of dress does not hide the fact that she is a woman. She is rescued from some sailors bent on giving her a hard time and brought to her uncle's, The Duke's, house. Andrew is convinced no one saw him bring the girl who steals his heart without him even knowing it was happening, home but somehow rumors begin. Of course, Beth will not force anyone to marry to save face and her uncle does a fine job with keeping her acceptable to the ton. So, Andrew is forced to figure out a way to convince her that he wants her not to make everyone else happy but himself. To confuse the issue even more for Beth, her sister has decided that Andrew would make a fine husband for herself. It is a complete tangled mess and fun to read how it all comes together in the end.

  • No Place For A Lady (Harlequin Historical Series)

    Inspiring read!

I loved the uniqueness of the story. Bree is the perfect herione to enchant the reader. She isn't the run of the mill Ton character but completely loveable. Her hero has no idea how quickly she will work his way into his heart but once she does, he will stop at nothing to wed her. But, the fact that he may still be married to a wife he hasn't heard from for years throws obstacles in his way. The missing spouse hasn't drawn money from the bank account for long enough for him to assume she has died but can he truly court Bree until he knows he is free. If he waits for his investigation to find answers will another man snatch her from him? She definitely gets lots of attention from the single men of his club!

  • Unlacing Lilly

Brilliant! Unlacing Lilly is full of danger, intrigue, and an enthralling love affair. Devlin will stop at nothing to get his revenge. He is even willing to kidnap Miss Lilly, his enemies fiance, right out of the church. Lilly has backbone and is a spitfire. She completely enchants Devlin but he continues to use her, no matter the cost to her or her reputation. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

  • A Worthy Gentleman (Historical Romance) (Historical Romance)

This is an extremely romantic read.

Sarah never wavers in her love and trust for John. She believes he returns her feelings even when he does not propose marriage when the opportunity came. John is definitely in love with Sarah but how can he start a new life with her when there is rumors that his first wife's suicide was actually a murder. Someone has been tormenting John with nasty tricks designed to make him think his wife was haunting him. Until he could be sure that connecting herself to him would not harm Sarah or her reputation, he would have to hide his feelings for her. He would have to solve the mystery and quickly.

Definitely read this if you are looking for lots of romance with a hint of danger.

  • A Scandalous Lady

    A Scandalous Lady

    by Francesca Shaw
    • Rated 0 stars

This was a very enjoyable read. Lady Camilla has a secret that would destroy her family. Nicholas, Earl of Ashby, discovers her hidden shame and determines that even though she would be a perfect wife for him, he will move on. Only it isn't as easy as he would wish to get her out of his mind. For her, it is impossible to get the dashing lord to leave her thoughts. Her shocking reaction to his touch wakens something deep inside and she craves more but only from him. Other men do not compare to the way Nicholas holds her heart. Misery she must face since she can never marry. Overall a bold and entertaining read.

  • The Outrageous Lady Felsham
    • Rated 0 stars

    I especially enjoyed this book.

I always enjoy a book which has humor in it. Outrageous definitely did not disappoint me. Lady Bel and Lord Ashe were having a rollicking good time and then it hit me. The story was becoming one of the most enduringly romantic tales I have read in a while. Louise Allen still had the humoruos tone but she let the characters love grow and grab the reader. I just couldn't stop reading until I found out how Ashe finally caught his woman, Lady Felsham.
