Very entertaining. The play between characters is delightful.

Charlotte is content with sitting in the background watching her charges but Benedict sees through her carefully chosen wardrobe and becomes a pest. I know it is an usual theme but it is written with just the right touch of wit and charm to make it well worth the read.

Excellent read! I loved the story line. To live the life of independence she craves, Jane de Weston disguises herself as a young man. She doesn't foresee her attraction to Duncan, who stirs unknown but delightful sensations in her highly receptive, very feminine body.

When Duncan accidentally discovers her true identity he knows he should send her away—but he agrees to keep her secret! For Jane brings light into the dark corners of his heart, and Duncan fully intends to teach his willing pupil the exquisite pleasures of being a woman….

    Good read. Great plot.

Brandon takes off to Texas to fight in the war leaving behind his fiance, although an official announcement has not been made. Unknown to him, Caroline is pregnant from their one night of love.

Being a prisoner of war changes him and he no longer feels able to get married. He writes home that he doesn't plan on returning. Caroline travels to Texas to try and change his mind. She needs him and doesn't know how to tell him he will be a father in a few months time.

Brandon and Caroline definitely have a lot of issues and both grow up considerably during their journeys.

Once discovered, it comes out that she is actually a poor relation turned out from her home due to inappropriate behavior with him. To protect her reputation, he takes her to his home and tells them she is his ward until he can figure out what to do with her. Attraction is there but Jane knows she must not give into it because her shameful secret. He is the first man that ever made her feel like this. She can never have him though, not with her shameful secrets.

Excellent beginning to a new series. I can't wait for the next one!
