Lord Leo Aikenhead- rake, skilled seducer and expert spy meets his equal in opera singer Sophie Pietre. She has him so mixed up, he doesn't know what to do, completely unlike himself. Vienna is full of danger for both of them but Sophie decides to make it the place she escapes from her secrets getting herself mixed up in more than she bargained for.

Excellently written and well timed action kept me enthralled.

Part of the Aikenhead Honors series.

Bronwyn is a favorite of mine and she didn't disappoint with Isabelle and Cristo story.

Cristo hires Isabelle under false pretenses. He must discover the truth about her or ruin his sister's marriage plans. Only he didn't expect to be so overwhelmed by her very presence in his life. Sparks, heat, and deep longing pour off the pages but Bronwyn also keeps the story moving at a very comfortable pace.

    Good read.

    Josephine and Hal's story.

Josephine is a caring young woman who only wants to help others. This gets her into trouble though and her reputation is ruined. She was seen leaving town with a "fallen woman" and Hal, a gentleman who is beginning to cherish Jo and their friendship. The trouble is, she had no chaperone, had to go into hiding, all to help her new friend feel safe during the last month's of her pregnancy. Of course she couldn't expect Hal to over look her ruined reputation. He needs to find a young chit with a squeeky clean name and marry her. So it doesn't matter if she wants him or not. A future between them is impossible.

Entertaining read. The little twists and turns in the plot kept me turning the pages long past my bedtime.

A page turner. Interesting plot, great hero, a keeper!

    Regency

Miss Hester believes the American heir to her adopted grandfather's estate is a rogue with no fortune of his own. She's been ordered to make him acceptable to society.

Jared Clinton has no love for the family that disowned his parent but when he feels insulted by their family lawyer, he makes the journey to their home with the intentions of telling them all what he thinks of them.

Hester and Jared meet and it soon becomes apparent that he isn't as bad as she expected and she isn't as aweful as he expected. It should be no problem to find an heiress willing to marry him and bring the estate back to it's former glory. To bad she is experiencing desire for the first time in her life. He isn't meant for her. They need a fortune not a near penniless bride. Jared has his own secrets and desires and isn't one to follow orders. He will marry only if he wishes to and to a woman he picks, definitely not for her fortune. Besides he isn't even sure if he will stay or return to America.

One of my favorites by Anne Herries. A keeper!

loosely linked to Scandalous Lord, Rebellious Miss and An Improper Aristocrat, Regency

Miss Lilly has helped her mother for years stifling her true personality in the process. But when her mother goes on a trip leaving her with friends, she finally gets to see what she has been missing. She charms society except for Jack Alden. Or so she thought. His kisses are burning hot and she wants more but does he. At the end of the season, she will go back to her dowdy gowns and books, unless he saves her from a future full of nothing but good behavior!

Now here are a couple of characters that were a real pleasure to get to know. I really enjoyed this book and have already recommended it to several of my friends.

    The Homecoming by Elizabeth Lane
Clay went to jail after protecting his brother and accidentally killing a man. When he is released he makes his way home and doesn't find a very warm welcome. His wife has had a hard time without him. The help he sent to her never showed so she never heard the truth behind his case. He must win her back and she must learn to trust him and forgive him.

The Cattleman's Christmas Bride (connected to The Cattleman's Unsuitable WIfe)
Allethaire's reputation is in shatters. She is in trouble with the law. Last person she would expect to help her is Mikolas, the very same man that had kidnapped her before. Mick can't believe it when he discovers Allie is mixed up with the train robbery he is trying to stop but when given the chance, he'll do anything to save her. He has never been able to forget her and feels he owes her for the ##### he put her through when he kidnapped her.

I really enjoyed all 3 novellas. I believe I will be putting this on my keeper shelf.
