Hello Hannah Gee,
The beauty of the red desert sand was undeniable as YOU rode between two sand dunes on your white stallion, the lines of the dunes as beautiful as the most curvaceous woman. The hot sun was beating down you, the air so dry that you were glad you were approaching your destination, couldn’t wait to get some food and a nap in your hammock.
You arrived at the largest of the brown tents in the middle of two others as you disembarked from your horse, the yellow flags blowing in the moderate wind on top of the dwellings.
Your best friend ran out and she’s excited. “Hurry up its hatching.”
You run into the tent where two Egyptian servants are watching a large green egg on a folded square red blanket, everyone wondering what was going to come out of it. A snake perhaps? The egg was the size of a football as whatever was inside was trying hard to get out, it moved back and forth from the effort. A piece of shell fell onto the blanket. You remember the morning you discovered the egg with green and white swirls, never having seen such a thing you brought it back with you.
A little red head pushed its way out of the shell, and then it stepped out and opened its wings for the very first time, launching a small ball of fire. You stroked the dragon and laughed as it looked for more attention. It was so cute.
“Oh my goodness it’s a red dragon!”
Unrealistic or not my writing gives me hope. But with something like 50 000 books published every month it is a little discouraging. I didn’t think there were that many writers. But I continue to write and hope.
You have a nice shelf.
I hope you are reading lots of interesting books.
Knights of the Dragon:
Leander is under siege. It seems their wizard is dying. A dragon befriends a boy and hires knights to save his kingdom. Alexa is a match for any man, except perhaps for Stone; they’ve had eyes for one another for years, though neither will admit it. A dragon is born that turns out to be a wizard, a rare dragon indeed.
And there are whispers of a boy wizard.
It’s a tale of wizards, dragons, romance and knights.
