I've always been a little bit of a book fiend. As a child my favorite thing to do was cuddle up with a good book. I have a thing for science fiction/fantasy and paranormal romance but I will read absolutely anything. I'm especially interested in science fiction/fantasy books by authors of color.

  • A. Michaelson

    Hello, Hani. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view, a little controversial at times, but you will see him as never before. It’s a story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. Have you ever wondered what is was like to live in those times? What part did women play in his ministry? Was he the first feminist? Were the miracles real? Why did Judas betray the Master? How does the gospel of Jesus compare to the gospel according to Peter and Paul? This is a “must read” for those on a true spiritual quest. You can read reviews at Amazon.com. I’m including a link to copy and paste. Let me know what you think.

  • The Ancient One

    The Ancient One says

    Song of The Flower
    I am a kind word uttered and repeated
    By the voice of Nature;
    I am a star fallen from the
    Blue tent upon the green carpet.
    I am the daughter of the elements
    With whom Winter conceived;
    To whom Spring gave birth; I was
    Reared in the lap of Summer and I
    Slept in the bed of Autumn.

    At dawn I unite with the breeze
    To announce the coming of light;
    At eventide I join the birds
    In bidding the light farewell.

    The plains are decorated with
    My beautiful colors, and the air
    Is scented with my fragrance.

    As I embrace Slumber the eyes of
    Night watch over me, and as I
    Awaken I stare at the sun, which is
    The only eye of the day.

    I drink dew for wine, and hearken to
    The voices of the birds, and dance
    To the rhythmic swaying of the grass.

    I am the lover's gift; I am the wedding wreath;
    I am the memory of a moment of happiness;
    I am the last gift of the living to the dead;
    I am a part of joy and a part of sorrow.

    But I look up high to see only the light,
    And never look down to see my shadow.
    This is wisdom which man must learn.

    Lets Make Merry....

    "Better your anger and fears flow like ink from a pen onto the page, or paint onto a canvas, than blood on the sidewalk. Better your blows strike the faces of drums or cords of melody, than the faces and backs of women and children!"
