    Hi Hope,
An iPod and a subscription to Audible would be a good starting point. I
usually have two players ~ now I have an iPod Nano sixth generation and
a Sansa Clip+ player. I had an Audible subcription at one point ~ now I
occasionally download audiobooks from iTunes and B&N. I borrow many
of my books from OverDrive via my library system. Audiobooks are my
drug of choice! I hope this is helpful.

Yes, I wanted to go, but I had too many other irons in the fire. I saw the picture of them in the Luther Magazine a couple weeks ago. Gosh, when I was in Decorah at school, I think it was King Olav, Harold's dad, that visited for a Homecoming parade. Speaking of Norskie things, my sister-in-law, not even Scandinavian of any sort, asked me about a Krum Kake iron. I was going to buy her one for Christmas, but Noooo, she found one for herself on ebay. Gosh, I think I may have to beg my Mom to adopt hers! I love krum kake, yule kake and sandbakkels over the holidays!

y.w. it is very important that the books i send are in good condition. when i get something in crappy condition, i think that the person who sent it, didn't care enough about the other people.... or doesn't respect others. if all you're gonna give away is crap, better to send it to the good will, or to the library (they will throw it out for you)!

but really, as soon as you said it, it appeared in the book sale, so it was meant to be we had the hard copy too...but it wasn't in good enough condition to send to anyone

You're so welcome, Hope! It gave me a chance to read it myself, too. I guess the scenery and story still resonates, Canada or U.S., if you are from the prairie!!! :-) Now, hopefully you can enjoy it for a long time to come.

I have some interesting hardcovers from my sister-in-law. Some were repeats of books I already have. RU interested? I'll try to give you a list tomorrow.

Hi, Hope! I just wanted to let you know that I got If You Aren't From the Prairie in the mail to you today. I sent it via surface mail, but hopefully it won't take too long to get to you. btw, I don't remember if I told you or not, but I think it will make my favourites list this year. :-)

i really, really hate it when they do that crap and i tend to just want to get rid of it--your way is a lot more humane. :) honestly, howard asked me to take over, but i warned that i didn't have much time just yet...i don't know jack about adminning, though i know i'll be capable once i figure things out. i figure we've been in limbo so long, another couple weeks won't hurt too much, right?
anyway, once i figure out what i'm doing, i will totally take your suggestion. thanks!

Hi Hope, I don't visit that group very much, but I suppose I couldn't do any worse than what the current admins are not doing, haha. I've asked the Shelfari Admin group about it. Thanks :)
