The reason I said no to you was cause Kyzer asked so i figured I don't need to be on there more than once.

The fablehaven series is a great series about a few preserves that keep the magical creatures a secret but there is a lot of trouble. I have joined a few groups 1 about fablehaven.

    Evening Hope,

In school since the middle of August? I'm going to have to see if they make a Hallmark card for that specific sad sentiment.

I wish I could say that I have strong "go to" books for the non-readers, but the best I could do are the Junior Scholastic magazines I use with my 8th graders.

    Middle of August, really?

    Hey Hope,

    How goes it?

Just started school this week and the body is exhausted but the mind is racing – overall it feels terrific to be back in the classroom.

This summer my latest book was released – “Roam Italy: A Teacher and His Students Take the Ultimate Class Trip.” The book’s website is www.theclassroombook.com if you wanted to check things out.

Possible tornado warnings in NJ this weekend so I best head for cover…

Thank you for suggesting that to Mrs. Gloede for me! Yeah, those worksheet things you have to fill out after you finish a book get really tiring if, for a person like me, has to fill them out almost every other three days.

The next time I get to some sort of library, I'll ask them for that book. I've heard someone say that that book was a good one but I can't remember who.

I'm happy that you are getting some time for yourself to read books other than young adult fiction. I also know what you mean about the Christmas. Whenever I go to Barnes and Noble I usually talk my mom into getting me around six books each time because I can't pick out my favorites out of them. Also a really good Barnes and Noble recommendation would be the one in Des Moines. Once when my family was staying in Des Moines, I spent the entire day in that Barnes and Noble reading books. I think I finished two whole books!!

I know, it bugs me too when it takes people forever to read a tiny book when I have already finished a big book compared to theirs. I will definitely look at some of those books the next time I go into Waterloo.

I hate reading in the summer because I always seem to find really good books that have a lot of pages and when school starts up I can't count those pages.
Like you know how in 7th grade you count all your pages, well that summer I had read over 4,000 pages in two months and I couldn't use those.

It's a really, really good book!! I can't wait for the second book! Hunger Games sort of ends with a cliffhanger so it stinks that I have to wait for it to come out. I will definitely check out some of the groups on this website. l don't really know any of Iowa Teen Award books but if you know of one that is longer than 250 pages and really good than maybe I will have you save it for me.

Actually any book that you know of that is around 250 or above that you like would be good because I don't know what to read now. Sorry about the numbers but I don't really like reading smaller books because it takes me just as long to read those as it does to read 600 page books. That's probably why I read "Gone With the WInd" as my first book to read in seventh grade!! That is a whopping 1037 page book!!

I know during the school year I do my homework until around 9:30 and then I tell myself I'm only going to read a chapter but then I read the first sentence of the next chapter and I can't put it down!! So usually I end up staying up until 1 in the morning! That doesn't usually help me during the school day.

Of course, I will go to the library when school starts because I'm starting to run out of sources for books. I always try and read some of the Iowa Teen Award books but usually all of them are gone by the time I find time to get in there, but I will try and read as many as possible.

Yeah, Hunger Games became my favorite book after I read it. It is a very exciting book! Ummm, usually I get my books from the Waterloo Public Library but I've read most of the good ones already so I sometimes go to Barnes and Noble and get them there. I usually go there when I want a newer book but sometimes that gets REALLY REALLY expensive!! =D

Yeah, I don't have a favorite type of genre! Just as long as it's a good book I'll read anything! I think it would be really cool if we had a discussion group at our school because I know a lot of my friends would really enjoy this website!! =)
