I am still waiting for the book I ordered to arrive, I am hoping it is soon as I have heard many good things about it.

I ordered the Mark Giminez book you had added to your shelf. Hopefully it will not take long to recieve it..found it for a penny..think it's a doable price.

LOL my boys think what I do to them is abuse..oldest comes home with stories about friends who get to play on PC or WII or whatever gaming system they have for hours on end..he did the whole life is unfair bit..Told him he'll see in a few years how unfair life really is but until then go play outside or read.
And yes I think both my boys are awesome..I don't have to do any grounding and I don't even have to count for them to stop just start holding fingers up with 'the look' and they back away and do something else.

LOL oldest will be my all around geek which is fine with me since he has already told me he is gonna use his mind to make enough money to support me so i do not have to work when I am older :) Youngest will be my smart know-it-all jock, he will do all the sports and read as a side venture. I have a rule that if they want to play games other than learning on the PC or the WII they have to read 1 hour to get 15 minutes..or play outside 1 hour...anything to get either mind or body active...lol of course if they are outside by the time they get in they are too tired to do anything but read..and the time does not roll over to next day. Everyone wins that way, even if they will not realize it until they are older with monkeys..er..umm kids of their own.

I do have help with my book ownership of course but since I have had almost 30 years of collecting does not add up to that many a year. Amazon is my friend :) especially when they have the $0.99 books.

lol I have a cheat at the Library..well kind of a cheat..my hubby does hteir computers as part of the county and if I am not done with a book he just tells them to check it out to me again..that way i do not have to go in to town. Although I do go to the library at least every other week..both boys enjoy going and reading in the nooks or playing on the computers they have there. To them going to the library is as fun as going to the park...lol I admit it I am rasing book geeks..but there could be worse things for them to turn into.

I do own many books, at last count over 15,000 collected since I was 4 yrs old. I have a temperature controlled storage unit that I keep them in and when I am bored will go and pull a book to read that I haven't read in awhile.

The carpathian series has at least a dozen if not more books in it, plus some offshoot stories..the drake sisters there is 6 soon to be 7 then the series is done since there is only 7 sisters.

I love doing the suspense thrillers while at work..not always the best place to read it but it works for me lol. I will have to have Hubby pick one up one of Giminez books when he is at the library.

My historical has gone down a bit since Paranormal is really big..It is easier to find a paranormal book over any other kind..
I have not yet read Mark Giminez, will have to look at the library and see if I can find him.
Lately I have read a few autobiographical books, there are actually some readers where I work and we trade books but for the life of me I cannot remember the names lol..very good books that make shivers go down your spine and tears well up.

I think if you ever get in the mood for a new series you should check the library fro Feehan..she has two series..the Carpathians and the Drake sister both very good series..ones I actually keep up with on my own.

Write a note for Gracie hereOne of the good things about speed reading is that I don't have to minamize the numer of series books I read. i can enjoy all that catch my attention. I do like to break up the paranormal with historical romance especially the Cassie Edwards Savage Series. Every once in awhile I get a book that is just that a book that belongs to no other book, I can erad it and not wonder about the sequel or if I had read tyhe prequel.
I have not yet seen True Blood the show other than a few glimpses before I take a nap before work. The downside of overnights is that I miss many of the good shows on primetime.
The Midnight Breed series is probably right up there for me I have actually gone out and bought the next book because I am so impatient for my mum to send it.
Have you read the Christine feehan Drake Sisters series yet? That is a good one as well.

I have read Twilight but not the others yet. I thorougly enjoyed the book and plan on seeing the movie. I have heard that the movie was good but did not compare to the book since most of the book was thoughts and emotions. The first book ended well but it had the exerpt for book 2 and now I am so wanting to read the second one. I am just waiting for it to be mailed in my monthly shipment from my mum. (lol)
I haven't read Absoluet Power yet but it is on my list of books to read.
The first book in the argeneau series is not the best of them all, I think she was just getting her feet under her for the series with that one. The ones with the brothers are much better written, as wel as the cousins and such..lol well all the men in that family.

I think my favorite of Sherrilyn's work is her writing as Kerrilyn Sparks Love at Stake series. Even reading it out of order I did not get lost as some series cause you to do.
Have you read the Argeneau Series by Lyndsay Sands? (name is prob butchered) It is another of my favorites.
lol I have so many books and series that I enjoy reading. Almost hard to even say what my top five faves are.
I have read a few Dean Koontz books but once I read Deception Point by Dan Brown I have been more on him. Unfortunately I did not like the Davinci Code of his. I did not think it was worthy of a movie but Angels and Demons should have been a movie. lol I know I am weird.

I've read Sherrilyns dream hunter series as well but I don't like it as much as the Dark Hunter Series. The first dream hunter book was hard to get into for me.
I love the J. R. Ward BDB and the really nice thing about that series is my mum gets the ARC so I get to enjoy them a bit early.
I enjoy reading a Shannon McKenna book..lol actually very rare for me to find a book I do not enjoy. The only problem I usually have with a book is the ending will leave me hanging...That I am not a fan of :P I can handle slow to start books or books that the beginning is a bit hard to read, those usally even out quickly and become enjoyable to get lost in for a bit of time :)

lol Acheron took me 2 1/2 days to read and that was just because I worked those nights If I had been off would have been half the time. I t took me awhile to pick it up after I got it because I really do not like reading hardcover books. When the next book came out I finally decided to read it..I can't have an unread book in a series when the next one comes out lol. Sherrilyn is a really good read no matter what story type it is.

I heart True Blood! If I were the casting director, I'd have picked all the same actors..Alan Ball is a genius! Lafeyette is my fav! But you know the series and the show go in very different directions. Somehow, it stays true to the spirit Harris created in the series. I'm on book 6, having begun reading right after I saw the first episode...I'm hooked. But I waffle between high and low brow in just about everything. A hardcore vamp fan would be annoyed with some of the inconsistencies in plot twists even Harris herself admits to, but I love the depth of Sookie's character and how you see her mature into her "disability".

I've been a fan of Octavia Butler for years. I used to feel like I was the only person who knew she existed. Absolutely NONE of my friends ever heard of her (guess that's why I luv sites like this one!) I haven't read them all yet, and I just found out Fledgling was a vamp story so that'll be next for me.

    Cheers!
