Gracie

My name is Gracie C. McKeever and I'm a multi-published, cross-genre erotic romance author from the Bronx. Aside from several side trips along the way I've lived and worked my entire life in the New York City area (currently two train stops away from the famed house that Ruth built...Go Yankees!). I've been writing since the ripe old age of... more »

I have actually been to my P.O. several times as my mum has sent a few (ton) boxes of books and I asked about it, they even let me go in back(the easy life of tiny town living, that and the building itself is smaller than my tiny place so not many hiding places) and it is not there. I was told that it may have gotten lost at the sorting center in the town/state of origin. I can talk to the Post Master on Monday as well since I will have a car that morning. This is my weekend to work so I will be sleeping the 30 minutes that the P.O. is open tomorrow lol.
I am not going to be able to watch the D S movie tomorrow night since I have to leave at 9pm for work but I think I have convinced my step-mum to record it so i can watch it later.

    Hello,
I don't know if you are big on watching made for tv movies but lifetime is having a salute to Danielle Steele thing. 4 of her books put to movie and shown Saturdays I believe starting this saturday. So far the movies based on her books have been really good so I am expecting these 4 to be the same if not better.

LOL yes, that is very true, I don't think anyone will top King. Not too many people can get the suspense quite as well as he can.
Macomber had the shop on blossom street series, none of her books take much to read so have gotten a few of my friends interested in her books.
I like LuAnn Rice and usually have no problems reading her books, but this one was a bit different, at least for me.

lol my problem with IT was that I could only read it in the dead of night and lived in a big creaky house that just happened to have the proverbial tree branch that scraped the window. Made for very hard readng lol. I enjoyed all the other books of his I read especially the Stand. Even now writing this i get a bit freaked about IT though lol..a very realistic memory.

I have been catching up on some of my LuAnn Rice and Debbie Macomber, the Rice book I read Light of the Moon; was an extremely hard read but very good. It was very full of emotional hardships, with most of the main characters trying to get through past emotional trauma of some kind or another. I don't think I'll read it again but I am glad I bought it. The Macomber book was a 2 in 1 book Married in Seattle; was just some very very light reading to break up the 'darkness' of some of the stories I read. I went through it quickly but it did bring some laughter at work, got some interesting looks there lol.

My mum probably should have joined a book club, would probably saved her a few bucks back then but she paid full price. Now she has the card for the book store which helps both of us lol...that and she is there so often that all staff know her by name and now give her ARCs. I tried a few book sclubs but could not decide which ones I wanted so just quit em all.
I loved Danielle Steele for a few years but then for some unknown reason stopped enjoying her books so stopped reading, Stephen King stopped after IT since I could not finish that book..luckily I read that book after I had already read all of his current books to that date...IT was an afterthought lol. Dean Koontz still enjoy as well as few others. Just too many authors and books out there, so hard to be choosy about what I want to read. Only so much time in a day even for me lol.

We used to live close to each other, right acroos the cul de sac actually, but her hubby got a good job down where they are now. Luckily distance does not have anything to do with our bond. We text each other constantly and talk at least 3 times a week, we have been close since we met even when I had to go back to my mums house. I have been trying to get her to read but her attitude is, if it is any good will go to movie or made for tv movie so she justs waits. I think i got her at least a bit interested in BDB, I told her of the ones I have so far and what the storyline is and she asked to read the first one so she may turn the corner yet lol.
I got hooked on romances cuz that is all my mum has ever read so that was what was on hand when I wanted a book. I am still trying to read one autobiographical book a week and of course those classics that I bipassed when I was younger.

My lil sis doesn't read, at least not much she never has, unfortunately she is what you describe as a typical blonde. We actually are step-sisters but have known her since she was in diapers so she is my sis. She and her mom both do not do books they are tv junkies so sit in front of tv whenever home snacking. But at least I have a movie goer with her when she is up. She lives way down in Iwoagian territory so we only see each other once a month or so.
I have it ingrained in me if you are not 15 minutes early then you are late, movies try to get there 30 minutes early in case it is a popular movie. HUbby has it ingrained in him to be 15 minutes late, so we tend to get there right on time with both of us.

I do go to the movies for just me and by myself, just not often. I love getting away from the boy squad and just being a girl, starting with dinner then on to movies and if it is a late movie stop by the book store to just hang out in one of the comfy chairs and read, can usually get a book done by time movie starts. I used to try to hook up with friends once in awhile to go to movies but gave up since my tastes are not as theirs is. Every once in awhile my lil sis and I go to see a movie, funny she is 10 yrs younger but our taste is more alike than people my age, lol well now she does anyway.
I love all the old TV shows, I guess I mispoke, we did not have TV but I did have friends and babysitting jobs where I watched TV. I loved the re-runs of Jeannie, bewitched, well basically all the shows you said but Star Trek and twilights as well as some outer imtis weren't re-runs lol. Did you ever watch friday the 13th tv series? Nothing like the movies but it was very good, they show the re-runs on Sci_fi every once in awhile.

I am not big on the classics for books but will try to read one good classic a year.
I like movies of all kinds, we didn't have TV when I was growing up so never had a chance to be turned off by anything really. Our entertainment was books and outdoors or games if my brother and I could like each other long enough to play lol.
Even now TV is not a biggie although I do enjoy movies, I wait for most of them to go to VHS/DVD to watch them, if I go to one is usually a kid movie with one or both of the boys. I have a list of movies I want to watch and then totally abuse NetFlix until I have seen them all.

LOL I am teaching youngest Dominoes, we are using disney ones and he is kind of getting it but he does not understand why Pooh and piglet can not be together since they are friends. He thinks he should be able to change the rules. We were gonna do checkers but think he needs to get down that rules are set first lol.
I am off now until sunday so gonna look into some old movies that I saw on a show last night at work. The classics with paul newman and doris day etc..been awhile since i have watched em so figured I might as well watch em this weekend.

lol, yeah I hear that alot. My MiL asked me once for some books, as many as I could 'spare' I had 2 big black garbage bags for her, she still has not finished them and that was over a year ago. Not many people that I know read much. That is why I joined this site, have found many groups with people like me. Love it :p

lol you just know Mercy is going to be hooked up with a 'damn wolf' right? All she does in the books is complain about being the Cat Representative who has to deal with the wolves, a total lead up to her romance if I ever read one. She is the next book after Dorian. Sierra is still too young for her story but she is lined up as well lol..she will be with the wolf leader. So many clues to be read throughout her stories lol.

I would love to get those books from you I will e-mail you in a bit...you will have to let me know if there are any books you would like..I have too many to list though lol.
