Aside from several side trips along the way I've lived and worked my entire life in the New York City area (currently two train stops away from the famed house that Ruth built...Go Yankees!). I've been writing since the ripe old age of...more »

    Hi Gracie,

    How have you been?
I've been off the radar a while because my webbrowser stopped supporting Shelfari (don't ask, it's a long and frustrating story) but...I'm back *grin*

Fortunately a software-upgrade worked out splendidly and in the coming days I'll be doing a lot of Shelfari-updating.

    Hugs,
    Pearl

    Hey girrrrrrl,

Thanks for the heads-up. I haven't had a chance to look up anything by Bridget Midway aka Crystal Bright, yet. (So many books, so little time and $$. A girl's got to pay the bills and may also want to buy a pair of new sandals, for the summer. ;P )

I had a look at your site (and books.) I'm definitely interested in your Sisters of Emsharra collection and the Zara's Bois series. (Zack And The Dark Shaft?! LOL - My mind's in the gutter...)

BTW, nice trailer production. What program did you use? (I'm unfortunately not that tech savvy.)

Also saw Vinnie's nice back on your page. (That baby boys got back, alright...) Don't ya luv that NY hunk?! ;P

I'm such a dope.... Forgot to mention that I'm also a fan of books that discuss/deal with interracial topics/situations. I'm the daughter of a (AA and white) mixed race Mom and a white dad.... so this is often "personal" for me. I'm also into anything about "passing," for the same reason. ;)

    Hey Gracie,
I hear ya on the vampire and para-normal readings. I noticed that you disliked L.A. Banks' Minion. Too bad. Her sequels in Vampire Huntress Legend are much better. (A revised version of Minion is now available.) I also have several of Karen E. Quinones Miller's books on my "tbr". (Just got them cheaply at a going-out-of-business sale of a book store....)
BTW... Since you like (some) horror and live in the NYC area, have you ever been to the New York City Horror Film Fest?

Have you had a chance to read Dickey's Sister Sister, yet? If you liked MIMC, then you'll probably love SS.

    Heyyyyy,
I just read your review of E.J. Dickey's Milk In My Coffee. I agree with your comment that Dickey should have revealed Kimberly's background a bit earlier - or better yet, just let her be a white girl.... as well as her ex Peter's ethnicity.
