lol fear of squirrels...don't think I have heard of it but then when I was little I was deathly afraid of grasshoppers for some reason. I have ridden many a horse, only been bucked off a couple times and that was doubled up with me hangin on to the back of the saddle..lol the horse just didn't like my sliding so far back on his rump. Being high up doesn't bother me lol as long as I am in control and the animal is not..(wait that didn't come out right since you know an animal bigger than you can always assert control lol)
Any labor day plans? I am driving (well being drien since I get off at 6am) down to Iowa..my lil sis just ahd her first baby on friday and I am in need of seeing my niece face to face instead of in a pic on my PC. Only stayin 1 night since have appts on tuesday that cannot be missed...lol the joys of the first week of school :)

I did the camels with him this year as did my oldest..was not a fan of the way they step, makes you feel like you are going to slide right off with the cage lol. Hubby still won't climb on..but he will do the elephant rides..something about the camel hump he says just gets to him

My 4yr old loves camel rides. We go to the renaissance festival every year and if we make the mistake of going by them (which we do on purpose lol) he gets this look on his face before asking if he can ride...the look is him thinking...I know I am not supposed to ask, but I just hafta anyway lol...we have a rule of no asking for anything you prob won't get it but if it is something we know you would like and it can be done we will offer it...but camels are just one thing he can't help but ask for lol

LOL the bungee ride is not much different for me than a roller coaster. I cheat now though..we go to the Amusement park and hubby wil take oldest on the coasters and I take youngest to the water park area of it. Unfotunately for youngest he is tall enough to ride but not quite ready, we get up to front of the line and he realizes how big and fast the monster things are lol..so we get our thrills on the water slides..which is more than okay for me

I think both boys went through a dinosaur phase, youngest is phasing out of it right now and phasing into bugs...lucky for him bugs do not make me squeamish. Sharks cause excitement when they see the books but other than that the poor sharks are forgotten.
Oldest (11) has done the bungee rides at the amusement park up by the cities, he loved it after the fact but right before he wasn't too sure. I don't think he will ever do the actual bungee where you have to step off but I am fine with that :)
I was just watching the extreme amusement parks tonight before work...I think I could handle most of those rides...well as long as I had a scream partner next to me lol

lol Our tv watching is kids discovery or cartoons cartoons and more cartoons...can ya guess which one prefers the cartoons?
Oldest is an Egypt nut (no clue why) and plans on being an archeologist over there someday, so he has many hundreds of books on egypt including a diary of a woman who was lost with her party in the egyptian desert. So I am actually happy that he has moved to some fiction reading, I told him he needs to rest his mind with a bit or make believe.
The youngest will be the sports fiend...he already runs everywhere...there is no walk or slow down button on him anywhere. His books tend to be all about sports...oh and whales lol. I think as he gets older he will back away from the reading...be opposite of his brother as he has been in all else :)
lol sky-diving at 16? you really think he can wait that long?

I lucked out for sports this summer..Oldest can't play until he has corrective surgery on his ankles and youngest isn't quite old enough yet. All my free time was bike riding, hiking and just plain walking with the boys. Oh and many many visits to the library. Youngest has turned into a sieve when it comes to books the more you read (pour) to him the more he wants...of course I am totally psyched about that. Got my oldest into reading percy jackson and introduced him to young adult books instead of teh kid ones so now I FINALLY get to have discussions with him about characters and such. I love when he can take something from the book and compare it to something in real life..kind of make a lesson of it...lol can you tell how excited I am/

ok so my summer has flown by, boys are already going back to school in 2 weeks. Talk about not knowing where the time has gone :) I hope your summer has gone as well. Any plans for labor day? I have that week off so I am going to be catching up on family members pictures...Just haven't had the time to take them yet. Have been scouting sights for backdrops and have found some awesome abandoned buildings. Can't wait to utilize em.

lol even if I did throw him back I think the fish would rebel and toss him back on the shore. I love nightfishing, very peaceful since the boys stay home and it is just me and the 'big kid' out there. All we do here is catch and release, the lakes are too polluted with poisonous algae to keep but we do it for fun. Up north we get some good sized wall eye that we can keep but that is 5 hrs away so not exactly a day trip :)

How Funny, we went fishing on Sunday as well. Hubby is in a contest with the oldest to see who catches the most this summer, Oldest is up 60-20. I usually catch 1 or 2 since I get to chase the youngest around so he doesn't go in the water and scare the fish lol.
