Aside from several side trips along the way I've lived and worked my entire life in the New York City area (currently two train stops away from the famed house that Ruth built...Go Yankees!). lol yeah, today is a bit cool with drizzle but both boys chose shorts and t-shirts, kind of funny for youngest since he is not a shorts wearer at all, he likes to be warm. They are off to Grandma's so I can sleep (which I am doing right now) gonna lay down with a good book and snooze :)

We had cloudy skies here today but it was warm enough for my husband to take the boys up to Como Zoo in the cities so i could get some peaceful sleep today. Of course it did start to downpour as I was leaving for work tonight lol...always happens that way doesn't it?

OMGosh it is halfway through April already. This year is going by way tooo quickly. I have been so behind on my reading lately that it's not even funny. The weather has just been way too nice to be indoors. Luckily Easter was perfect weather here, there was worry of snow but we lucked out. I hope your Easter went well and was sunny as well.

I bought Exquisite Corpse and I am planning to read it but I have such a huge reading list right now it might be a while before I get to it lol. I'm just a total book addict, I always find something new when I go to the book store and the books just keep piling up! There's just so much great stuff to read out there! I'm also trying to savor Brite's books since she started writing about cooking rather than horror like you said. I love her writing but I'm not sure I can get into stories about chefs, I'm more of a supernatural girl.

I've only read two of Poppy's books as well, Lost Souls and Drawing Blood, but I intend to read as many as I can find! You're totally right about her too, she is very unique and I've never read anything else like her work. I read Lost Souls a little more than a year ago and it's still my favorite book. If you liked Lost Souls you should definitly check out Drawing Blood! I'm really glad you wanted to be friends! It seems like we're into the same genres, I've been looking for anything that even comes close to Poppy Z. Brite but it's hard because she is so unique!

I finally made it down to the P.O. today, the counyer girl I talked to said that they didn't have any thing in my 'parcel' box and that there were no un-accounted for packages in the building. Said that yer gonna have to ride the butts of the people at your P.O.

Hon, I should be thanking you, you were the one willing to send them to me. I am just sad that you basically wasted your money on Priority Mail. I will make sure to stop by the P.O. on monday morning though as soon as they open and light a candle under Tom the post master. LOL at least make him search the place again.

I have actually been to my P.O. several times as my mum has sent a few (ton) boxes of books and I asked about it, they even let me go in back(the easy life of tiny town living, that and the building itself is smaller than my tiny place so not many hiding places) and it is not there. I was told that it may have gotten lost at the sorting center in the town/state of origin. I can talk to the Post Master on Monday as well since I will have a car that morning. This is my weekend to work so I will be sleeping the 30 minutes that the P.O. is open tomorrow lol.
I am not going to be able to watch the D S movie tomorrow night since I have to leave at 9pm for work but I think I have convinced my step-mum to record it so i can watch it later.
