    Hard Boiled Men

From Amazon: "This is an amazing book for women and men alike as it shows the raw emotions one man goes through on his journey through relationships and shows a vulnerability most men would not clearly share. Beautifully written with such humor and honesty. I enjoyed this book so much I was unable to put it down. It's a page turner that keeps you wondering is this going to end up happy or sad?? Great staging to hold the reader wanting more."

This is a smart book about the death of reading amongst the young. Makes one wonder, if this is the future, why do we bother writing books?

  • Hollywood

Hollywood is good stuff. Same old Buk despite the fact that this time he is married to Sarah and thus not getting as much. This is an older Hank, very reflective. This novel is all about the script he wrote for Hollywood movie makers. Is this the real story behind Barfly. I never thought that early mickey rourke was a good fit to play old Hank, he was too pretty. These days, he would be perfect for it. But this is not about Barfly, it is about Bukowski's Hollywood, a novel that any of us fans would enjoy.

  • Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymus Bosch
    • Rated 5 stars

The Big Sur is nothing like the Tropics or Sexus books. This is an older more reflective Henry who discusses art, literature, life and yes, women. This book is one of his must reads.
