The public burning of women, who were believed to be witches, to show that they give no justice to those who practice the dark craft. To be caught as a witch meant death. Salem Hills was built in the early 1800's, and till today still follows the safe beliefs they had back then. Haunted by ghosts of women who have died, the town is dark and sinister, ignorant thoughts running through the veins of everybody here. Even the river running through the middle of town is dark and tainted with red - drink from the river and you'll be surprised at what happens to you.
Everything here is the same as it was in the early 1800's - except for the people of course. The same old buildings, the same families owning the same shops. The town even goes to great extents as they don't use modern machinery or anything, just using what they had in the 1800's. Almost oblivious to the outside world, there is only one path in and out of Salem Hills and that is through The Forest Of Needles. To enter The Forest Of Needles, means that you're not sane, but wicked and crazy. The town usually sends their mental patients into the forest, and they never return.
Everyone here has ignorant thoughts and a dark aura, they all are oblivious to the outside world as the mayor of town engraves in everyone's head that the outside world is nothing but pure evil and will make you crazy. When people start talking crazy or are a criminal, they are forced out into the modern world where they'll wish they never did talk crazy or engage in their actions. Gossip and murder thrive in the dark beauty of the town. Women roam as free as caged doves do.
