Felix:
Wearing a pair of hot-pink skinny jeans and a rainbow tee-shirt and a red floppy bow in my shaggy blonde hair that I stole from my sister, I wander along the beach by myself, though I wish I had company. I watch the sun slowly dip below the horizon, illuminating both the sky and the water and painting pretty colors across both. This has always been my favorite time of day; it's like a huge, changing artist's canvas, new colors swirling and morphing into bright and brilliant ones until finally they fade away, leaving only navy blue and an enormous sprinkling of glittering diamonds across the heavens. I watch this slow transformation, staring out over the water and waves, almost (but only almost) grateful I was put on this earth.

  I walk down from the parking lot, pushing my black batman snapback onto my sandy blond hair. "Felix!" i call as i see him wandering down the side of the water. I try not to laugh as i see that he's put his sister's bow in his hair again. "You had to wear that again?" i ask, jogging up to him and pretending to roll my eyes, but with a smile on my face.

  I spin around when I hear my name called, the previous frown I was wearing a moment ago transformed into my famous goofy grin as I wave enthusiastically at my friend Lewis. "Hiya! And yes, I did have to wear it again," I add, straightening the bow so it's just a tad crooked (haha, if that makes any sense). Kicking at the sand a little with my multicolored Converse-clad foot, I look down at the ground rather than looking at Lewis, although I'm still grinning.

  ”The sky,” I answer like I always do to that question, but only because if I truthfully answered “whatsup” I’d be explaining that I’m horribly depressed because of the medication I’m on, am having a hard time coping at the moment, and want to drown myself in the ocean I’m standing in front of at this very moment. So, I only answered as I always do simply continue to stare down at the ground, walking around in circles, although I do acknowledge my friend’s presence. “Whatsup with you?”

  "Oh. That sounds...unpleasant." Of course, I don't mind noise at all; it distracts my thoughts. Enough with the depressing stuff, though.
  I put an even bigger grin on my face to match Lewis's, looking up from the sandy shore to gaze out over the ocean as the sun sinks down completely, draining the pretty colors from the sky. "The ocean is really big and scary," I say to no one at all, really. "Look at it."

  I remove my hand from around Lewis's shoulder and giggle, standing up tall as I say to him in a deep, English accented voice, "Why thank you my good sir," before hopping into the passenger's side. "Where to, chauffeur?" I'm using my regular voice now, rather than the ridiculous accented one. Hehe, that was fun though. Dad's locked up and Mom's been just plain unpleasant since then, and my siblings are all brats and I have to take care of them even though I'm in just as much pain -- if not more -- as mom is, but for different reasons. SHE wasn't the one being abused.... Funny, cuz it was only me out of everyone in my household.

Marco jumped out of his dark green Jeep Wrangler. He grabbed his stuff out of the trunk and headed for his usal spot. He sat his stuff down and headed back to his jeep where he got out his surf board and went back over to his spot. He laid down the board and started to wax it. After he was finished he ran off into the water hoping to catch to good waves.

Me and my three best friends decided it would be the best day ever to go to the beach and just have fun. It was starting off great until my friends started getting depressed because they missed their boyfriends. It wasn't the greatest thing being the single one in the group, they decided to leave early and surprise their boyfriends. I told them I would stay and relax and meet them tomorrow.   I undo my seatbelt. "Okay. You don't have to meet him yet, when you're ready you can. Just not tonight or we both will be in trouble" I say leaning to kiss his cheek. "I'm free tomorrow so okay," I say happily. I pulled down the mirror on my side of the car, the whole car ride when I leaned on my neck all I felt was pain. I look in the mirror and feel a small little bruise appearing on my neck, a hickey. Just great. How am I suppose to hide this. I look at him, "I suppose you probably don't have a hoodie with you?"   I give a small smile and reach into the back of the car, pulling out a hoodie with the high school logo on it. "It might be a bit big, but I'm sure it will help." I say. I always kept a change of clothes and a hoodie in my car. Anything could happen. There's always a chance I would need it. "You're lucky I'm so prepared." I add, leaning over and kissing the mark on her neck lightly. "You could have been in trouble."

  I smile reliefed that he did have one. I put it on, he was right it was big on me but I didn't care. It smelled like him. "Thank you, I promise to give it back tommorow," I say looking at the high school logo. I went to the same school. I giggle when he kisses my neck "I am so lucky," I say kissing him before he leaned back. "But I wouldn't be the only one who would be in trouble if a certain brother found this," I give a small laugh. I look at my house, the living room light on. Hopefully they forgot to turn it off.   I grin in satisfaction as she kisses me. "I would have gotten away if he'd tried to hurt me." I say, but frown and shake my head. "Scratch that. I would have kidnapped you first, then run away. No way I'd leave without you." I lean back in my seat, my grin returning. "And you can keep it. I've got plenty of them at home. One gone makes no difference." I say. I glance at the house. A light was on. "You'll be alright?" I ask, a bit unsure. I wouldn't think her brother would do anything against her, but who could be sure? Maybe he was different than me in that asspect.

  I laugh "You always want to kidnap me don't you?" I ask smiling at his plan. I hold onto the sleeves of his jacket to keep them from slipping down over my hands. "If you say so, then I guess I will just keep it," I say happy he didn't want it anymore. I look at my house then back at him "Of course I will. He loves me too much to hurt me, but he might lecture me to death. From how it's very dangerous to be out this late at night, to staying late out at night ecspecially with boys is to risky to even do," I sigh. I smile at him, "But I survived the risk and met you," I add. I got the feeling in my stomach knowing I had to go soon, and soon was probably now. I look down and saw his phone next to him, I pick it up. I take three goofy pictures and sweet one, then handed back to him "Now you won't be to sad when I have to go," I say.   I grin. "Normally, I'd agree with your brother. But I'd never be a danger to you." I say. I smile as she takes the pictures. "But they're not as great as you are in person. I guess I'll have to make due." I say with an exasperated sigh. Then I lean over and kiss her once more. "Good night, sweet dreams and all of that. Stay safe. I love you." I say with a kind and loving smile. I rarely showed that smile, not to mention the caring side of me. But it seemed that May brought the best out of me.

  I place my forehead against his looking him in the eye, "I'm glad you wouldn't," i say hapilly. I lean away and sigh, We were only gonna be away from each other for just a couple of hours and we would be asleep most of the time. I just didn't want to go, it was weird, I was alway uncontrollably ready to go after a date. This time I just wanted to stay as long as I can. "Yeah I know, but only like nine hours away from now we can see each other again," I say positively, looking down at the pictures I took. I kiss him back for the last time of the night, "I love you too. Night," I say smiling at his really caring side of him. I get out the car and walk up to my house opening the door. I wave back at Helix one more time before I close it.

  I walk inside and close the door sigh happily. This was the best night I could have. I jumped a little when my brother, Scott's girlfriend, Jade cleared her throat. "Where were you? Scott was worried sick, he almost didn't go to work today," she says calmly, but I knew she was worried too. I look down "I'm sorry, I met a guy and we were out all night just talking, we didn't really keep track of ti-," she cut me off "You met someone? Who is he? Give me details!" she says excitedly. I smile and sit I front of her and explained how the day went from the beginning. "And we're gonna meet in the morning," I say finishing the story and smiling about it. She looks at me "How are you gonna tell Scott that?" She asks, I didn't really think bout that. "I'll think of a way," I say happily. And with that I decided to go to bed excited for the morning.

I get out, leaving my shoes in the car. I walk around to the trunk and take out a picnic basket and a blanket. The sky was a mix of oranges and pinks as the sun set. I smiled at Flora and start walking down the beach, my feet sinking into the sand.
