I glance around at the huge lake. Nobody seemed to be here. I head closer to the water, taking careful steps in the sand, so I don't fling any up and get my shoes dirty. I wasn't planning to go to a beach today, I just needed to get out and this place just happened to be close by. A cold breeze almost knocks my hat off my head, I grab it quickly and freeze in place. I look around the lake again. No one.
I sigh and continue to walk. I stop at a large rock near the water. The almost black water splashes against it. Determined, I bend my knees, take a deep breath, and jump. I leap up to the top of the grey rock, landing on my feet. I lose my balance, my left foot slipping and pushing off tiny pebbles into the water. My eyes widden and I brace my arms out as my left foot flys out from under me. Thankfully my arms save my face from smashing into the rock. My heart had been pounding the whole few seconds as they flashed by.
I pushed myself up and stood still, my eyes closed. After a calming breath my heart beat slowed and I reopened my eyes. The large lake seemed almost to be a murky black sea. If it weren't for the tree tops in the horizon, some would think it's endless. I tilt my head down, looking at the water below me.
The rock was taller then I orginally thought it was possibly fatal, you would definately get hurt. I take another deep breath to calm my racing heart. The water crashed gentally against the rocks and rough sand. I tilted my head back up, just as another cool breeze blew by.
Still it seemed no one was here...
How do I get down?
