I thought long and hard about doing this and decided that I needed to. I am starting a sort of e-mail devotion called " Skin Deep" Every other day I will send out a Bible verse and encouragement to anyone who wants to join. The e-mail will be interactive so you can send me your thoughts on things and it can be put in the email.. To maybe explain it better here is the schedule
Everyday: A Bible verse, prayer requests and a note of encouragement.
Monday: I will send out a topic. Example: modesty. Then you can send in your views on what modesty is to you. It will then be posted in a later e-mail.
I will also suggest a good book/movie/singer/song. If anyone has a suggestion themselves, they should feel free to send it in under the subject line "Suggestion". If you care to send a book suggestion in, I would also like a short review explaining why it's a good book. (:
Throughout my life, I have heard so many amazing stories about missionaries and just really cool people. My grandad for instance was a WW2 veteran and told me many stories about what it was like being a tank commander. I would love to share things like that with you.. If you to have a story to share, feel free to send it in under the tag line "Story".
Send in a story of something funny that happened, embarrassing moment, or just something that blessed you and I will have it in the Friday installment. Send it in under the subject line " Readers Write".
Wednesday: Wednesday is the day of poetry here at "Skin Deep." Poetry is one of my most favourite things and I would love to share my love for it with you.. If you have read any good poems, again send them in with the tagline " Poetry". Make sure to include the author's name. I also will be sending out a poll with topics that are more silly than serious. Send in your reply before Friday to get your answer in the next e-mail. Send under the subject line of " Poll".
Friday: I will posts the results of both the topic and poll on Friday. Readers Write will be posted today. (: I will also include a cute/sweet video: something to make you laugh, smile, or maybe even cry.
Every month on a Wednesday, I will be hosting a poetry contest. Send in your poetry and the winner will get their poem featured in the Wednesday issue!
