I have three e-books checked out right now.

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, Between Good and Evil: A Master Profiler's Hunt for Society's Most Violent Predators by Roger L. Depue. I finished both of these and was mildly disappointed.

The third is The Eyes of Willie McGee: A Tragedy of Race, Sex, and Secrets in the Jim Crow South by Alex Heard.

And I am waiting for two Dr. Who DVDs.

      Decades of practice! ;0)
Plus I get a paper print out about once a month showing what I have out on what ticket, when I got them.how many renewals,if there is a waiting list etc, Got to admit, after those many years with no new books in Africa,I just have to see a book on the library shelf and think,oh I havent read that author, and I have to grab the book, just in case it goes out and I never see it again,Luckily our library allows you to renew books 9 times without physically returning them to the library.Even then,if someone requires the book.they will extend the return date by a week to give you time to finish. And f you take it back physically after 9 renewals, they wipe off all the records and you can start all over again!:0)
As for returning them.you can hand them in to any branch.I have visited bramches all over the county just to browse their shelves, and then hand them in at my local branch!

Oh yes, I know these kind of list well. I am on(OK TRYING)to read what I own this year otherwise I too would have a list like that. LOL
I can check out 10 books each card for each libary in the system which is 5 libraries. I have my card, hubby's, daughters,Son's and Son In Laws.
That means if I wanted to I could check out 250 books. LOL
We can renew them twice IF noone have requested it.
We have a Interlibrary Loans, I can get books from anywhere. I use that a lot for hard to find books that I don't want to buy.

We have 39 libraries in our county system, and you can order any book from them for 30 pence(about 45 cents) but if the book is outside of the system, they charge £5 ($ 7.50) per reservation. You might as well buy it second hand on Amazon! lol.So I am pretty much limited to our county. But as you can see I can just about struggle to find enough books to read! ;)

Whoa! I don't think I have a limit, but I usually don't have any more than 4 or 5 out at a time. I try to read them in order that I checked them out, unless I know there's a popular one I won't be able to renew and that gets moved up the queue.

...sigh...Went to the library to collect three reservations, feeling virtuous since I was returning four,so there would be a reduction of one.Unfortunately, the books had apparently bred in captivity, there were now seven. Net gain, three :0(

It's my first time with Canavan. I liked her writing though not particularly how this story was done. It was suffering from the "set-up" syndrome that some first books in series have. It was also quite predictable. I'm not a fantasy expert but I would say it's straightforward fantasy... includes a magic system and all.

I have one more book to return, then all I have out are two (I think!) audios. I will likely "refill" at the beginning of April. Till then, I'll work on a few of my own!

For the first time in years, I actually have NO library books on me. The feeling is so strange... :(

I feel your pain. I will not be able to get to the library until Sat.
Good thing I have back up books.

Yeah, I've been surviving on friends' books. I'm away from my home library system for a few weeks and the university library doesn't have all the fiction I need.

Cant believe I found the newest William Phelps book, The Devil's Right Hand, at the library today and Diary Of A Player by Brad Paisley (country music singer). Also I cant believe I forgot to pick up an audio book for an elderly gentleman who is almost blind. Darn!
