  I'm pretty fascinated by some of the avatars being used by Shelfari members and often wonder what's the story behind the choice. Some never change, some change frequently but seem to follow a pattern and then there are those like me who sometime change but pretty infrequently.

  This avitar portrays my favorite attitude...my true self, so to speak...I'll change it eventually. It used to be a Stephen King-like librarian, but she became too tame.

  I chose this after my Carribean martini started to wear on me. I drift towards abstract and/or beautiful imagery. This reminds me of autumn with a mystical edge. I also tend to stick with my avi's for long periods.

  I change mine depending on my mood or what I might have an affection for at the time. It is usually a good looking guy, but not just any guy. One that I really like or has a tie to something I like. Sometimes it will be a symbol that relates to something as well.

  I rarely, if ever, change mine. These are two of my dogs and I took the photo. If I do change, it is usually to other photos that I have taken, mostly our dogs but I also like to photograph nature/outdoors. --d

    LOL! A bit of both. I love photography as a hobby and have a really nice camera (thanks hubby!) and in real life (the job) I am a CT Technologist. I image for money and photo for fun! And, thanks, my dogs are actually big hams. --d

  I've been here two years and have changed my avatar three times. Each time it's been a cat/kitten, because I love cats. I decided to keep my Halloween kitten because as a Pagan, Samhain (Halloween) is my favorite holiday. Knowing me, I'll keep this one up all year round. Right now this is also my profile pic on Facebook, though I might change it later on there.

  I chose mine cause it is fun, sassy and cute! I love vintage pics and I love classic pin-up girl art. I change mine every month on facebook to coincide with the seasons or whats going on in the world.

  I have one daughter, Katie, soon to be 31. She likes to travel and always brings me cool gifts. She also brings me my "FUN GIFTS". This was a little felt monkey she got for me at a craft show in London. We also have pictures holding monkeys from the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh when we went together on a special day she planned one year on my birthday. So this little guy hangs in my bedroom and represents special times spent with her, and her many travels. I just love it!
