Jennifer Marie Isabella Colette Bradstien pushed open the glossy white double doors of her magnificent country house with a perfectly manicured hand, silently stepping inside and gently closing the door behind her. She stared around the small Hallway and listened hard, hoping to hear the familiar sound of her mother's afternoon song. To her dismay, she heard no such sound. After a short while of consideration, she came to the conclusion that they must be attending to some business somewhere in the town. With a slight sigh she quickly ascended the white marble staircase, crossing the Hallway to her room. She walked over to her window, smiling as she watched the small children playing outside in the sun. How beautiful the children looked. How wonderfully innocent, how untouched and pure...
Unknownst to Jennifer, she was not alone. As she stared out of the window, a dark figure appeared behind her.
A shadow of the past,
A past that would come back now to haunt her.
It was a boy about Jennifer's age. His deathly pale face was masked in shadow, his body covered in a cloak. He looked hideous, truly hideous.
He softly tapped her on the shoulder, startling her. Jennifer whipped around, extremely surprised. Seeing his pale, disfiguring face coupled with his darkened sunken eyes and puke-worthy outfit, Jennifer opened her mouth to scream.
To her horror, no sound came out.
She stood there, paralysed with fear.
A dry cackle escaped the intruder's lips as he roughly pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Hello, Jennifer" he said gruffly "Or would you prefer me call you Jen."
"Only my friends call me Jen, Sergio!" Jennifer hissed venomously, finally finding her strength as she realised who it was. It was Sergio, a guy that she had not seen in a long while. Before the great transformation Sergio had been extremely interested in Jennifer. He was one of her crazier fans. He loathed and detested her boyfriend Jacob with a fiery passion and was hell-bent on getting him out of the way. In a small town like this everybody knew everything about one another, and it was no secret that Sergio suffered with slight mental problems. Nobody knew exactly the seriousness of his condition - nobody except Jennifer that is. He would send her gifts, strange gifts; dead flowers, twisted love notes, clippings of his toe-nails and strands of his oily hair. He used to scare Jennifer a lot. She used to think that she would never be free of him. Over time, fear turned to hatred. One night, the night of the Halloween Party, Sergio tried to make-out with Jennifer. Luckily, the lightning hit just as he scooped her up in his arms. She punched him in the face and ran away...and she had not heard from him since.
But now here he was in her bedroom, trying once again to take her in his arms. She pulled away, staring at him with deep disgust.
"Oh, but I am a friend..." Sergio corrected, his voice sugary-sweet "Or at least I will be."
"No, you won't!" Jennifer swore with hatred, slapping his arm away.
"Really?" he questioned.
"Really!" Jennifer responded fiercely.
With a wicked cackle, Sergio reached into his giant black bag. Seeing what was being pulled out, ennifer let out a horrified gasp. He held in his hand a hammer, a large hammer.
"Do you know what this is for, Jennifer?" he questioned condescendingly "Or are you still too 'blond' to figure it out?"
Jennifer stepped backwards, her breathtakingly beautiful face growing a deathly shade of pale.
"STAY AWAY FROM ME!" she screamed in a panic, pushing him to the ground. He let out a low growl as his hammer fell to the floor, hitting his toe with a large thud. Jennifer fled from the room, racing down the corridor and half-way down the stairs. Unfortunately, she lost her balance on the seventh step and went tumbling down the rest. Sergio appeared on the top step, cackling maliciously.
"You can't get away from me, you stupid girl!" he declared victoriously.
Jennifer let out a loud, piercing scream, hurriedly scrambling to her feet and escaping out the door. She took the key, turning it three times in the lock and locking him inside the house. She took off in the direction of the forest, screaming loudly.
Sergio rushed towards the door, banging on it. Jennifer continued t orun, her hair flying madly out behind her.
(I'll post at the Forest now. :))
