no your not i look at the books cover before i read it because the cover is whats supposed to draw readers in if the cover doesnt look gud i ask for someones opinion
same here!!! my friend megan always knows the good books to read lol :D
I kind of do too. If the cover makes it look like a boy book than it's probably a boy book. So basicly the cover reveals if the book is a good book for you to read. I don't think I really judge if the writing is good or bad.
Yup, i for sure judge abook by its cover. Even though I hate to say it, I do. As you said, the cover is to draw you in, and if it doesn't i wont take the time to read, unless someone reomends it highly.
Same here but I occasionally end up with a bad book because the cover and part of the story looked good while the entire story was not. There are a few times I read a book because some one I trust said that it was good but most of the time I check the cover, title, and book summary
Yeha, and then I just get mad because I was expecting the book to be great!
exactly! the great dissapointment of not being able to easily known a bad book from a good one
i check summary, title, cover, and if it has good reviews by authors that i like
i dont like reading the summary cuz it gives away a lot! and i looooove surprises!! :D
Well, I really don't mind... Because if anything, the summary makes me want to read it even more.
i do but mostly i just read the blurbs.
blurb. Such a funny word... sorry! that was random...
I feel badly judging books on covers or summaries, because the author has no control over either. Of course, I look to the summary for premise and such, but I've found from experience that it often identifies nothing. I, also, check out the blurbs, and if a favorite author of mine has reviewed, I'm way more likely to read something. But sure, covers are important because they're what first draw your eye to a book.
yeah i check for reviews too! 8D And i also check the reviews on shelfari....
