Our Currently Reading shelf has been updated with all known books released in hardcover/paperback/or that got reissued this month.
Welcome to all our new members. Please let as many people know about us as you want so we can spread the word about our group. Please feel free to participate in discussions, ask for recs, or even start your own discussions (as long as they have to do with YA).
What the YA Helpers Project is: This group is first and foremost a resource for those interested in or looking for books in the YA category. My goal is to have a large comprehensive list for people to find books in a quick and easy way. Second, this group is also for book discussion. Third if the resource list/shelf isn't enough then members can help other members find more specific things such as a book they can't remember the name of, or who the author of this book was etc.
RULES (please read):1) Be civil. Particularly in book discussions. If someone says they don't like a book you like, I don't want you dissing them just for that and so on.
2) One discussion thread per book please. I don't want eighty million threads involving Harry Potter/Twilight etc. If you have something to say about the series or question/thought then post it in the thread created for those books. If you see that a book doesn't have a discussion thread then feel free to make one.
3)NO comparison threads please. I don't want eighty million threads that go like Harry Potter or Twilight? Percy Jackson or Harry Potter? There are plenty of other groups for this purpose. That is not what this group is for.
4)When you need help finding books, try to be somewhat specific about what your looking for, that way you'll get better results.
That's it. There will be two ways to find books in this group. I will have a listing of books by genre in the beginning for people to look at (if you know of some missing then please say so in comments, I'm trying to be as thorough as possible). The second way is just by surfing the groups shelf which I'll try to keep as up to date as possible.
That said, please join if you're interested!
