GA stands for Great Author. You get the chance to be the first GA in this competition. You post a short short story, and I'll judge who wrote the best. If you aren't chosen, don't worry. Try again next time. And remember, don't make it too long. It's supposed to be a short short story. It ends November 15. Please post it all in one post, thank you. Three more words.

Heaven isn't all that It's knocked up to be. Sure, you've got your gates made out of jewels, your 'perfect' haven, your 'perfect't father, but what happens when you piss him off? Well, I'm here to tell you. You see, I am a fallen angel. I asked God for one too many things, and he just dropped me. And that's where I am now. My wings are turning black, and the ever-lasting brightness is turning to darkness. When you fall, it feels like you drop forever, and then you land with a hard THUNK! And, here we are, one level above hell. 3rd floor, heaven, 2nd floor, Earth, 1st floor darkness, Basement, Hell. I get up, brushing myself off, and looking around. Mostly darkness, accept for a few occasional light torches. I take my first step, and someone attacks me. Great. They throw a cloth bag over my head, and I am dragged away. Finally, we stop, and I am shoved to the ground, kneeling before a dirty person on top of a pile of rocks, looks like the king of the pervs. Great. He speaks," I am the ruler of The Darkness. If you can prove yourself of anything useful, I will reward you greatly." Fine with me. I whip out my wings, and ignore the gasps that escape their lips. As I fly, I make loops and am having fun for the 1st time in this place. I finish up with landing in front of the King, and turning myself invisible. When 5 seconds are up, I turn myself back, and I tuck my black wings in."Well," I say," Am I in?" I ask "Hell yeah! I could use someone who can go do my biddings without being seen, and then make a quick get away. I think that you are perfect for the job. Welcome aboard," He said. This all happened 2 years ago. I got appointed VP. The King went crazy, and I over-threw him. Now, I am King, and maybe one day, I will be able to get back up, to level 2, or, maybe, if I'm lucky, level 3, to have a little talk with the Father.

I sniff the air the scent of fresh Human blood is hot in the air. I feel my fangs elongate and ache for the first feeding i Have had in 1000 years. I am Sage the feared Vampire Princess who was trapped underground for 1000 years because i killed my own Sire so i could rule. But now i have been set free by some unknown force, an evil one that wants me as its ally,i know that i must now confront my own sister who locked me underground and take back my right to rule as queen. I stalk the human and i see her up ahead. All human's should know that it is exceptionally dangerous to be out at midnight, especially now that i am free. I run forward and pounce my fangs automatically seeking her jugular effectivly crushing her windpipe. I enjoy myself as her futile struggles grow weaker and weaker and finally she is dry. I throw her down, the worst thing about human's is that they run dry awfully fast. I smile as i use my restored Vampire powers to transform my clothes into that of royalty,a slim floor length satin gown thatis the color of the darkest ebony decked out with blood red rubies. I now transform to my winged shape and fly to the location of my castle and i storm into the main hall where my sister is holding court. there are loud gasps as i appear before her i hiss and say,"hello sister i guess you werent expecting me so soon were you?' her face goes paler thatn normal and she stands up. Her face contorts with rage and she rushes forward... a battle wages between us and i snap her necak while tearing her head off. She lies at my feet...Dead. I pick the silver circlet off her head and place it upon my own. The watching dignitaries move out of my way as i move toward the black marble throne and sit in my rightful place, finally having had my revenge, i am a tyrant of a ruler.

I breath in deeply before stepping outside. The cool winter air stinged my skin. I shiver at the feeling. I take another step. I shiver again. Once I got used to the air, I walk at a normal speed. I was nervous. My first date, with the prettiest girl in the school. You would expect the star of the school football team to be brave, and bold about the date. But I was scared out of my mind. I climb into my Lambo, and close the door. I take another deep breath, then I insert my keys into their correct spot. I turn them, and the car awakes. I turn the heat on, wait for the window to clear away from the frost and snow. I put it into reverse, not looking in the review mirrors. Then I get a shock of pain. Glass-everywhere. Blood-everywhere. Death-in the air. And that is how I died.

Claire stepped onto the plane with vigor. After her town’s sesquicentennial, she headed back to school as soon as possible. She only went to the celebration because her family had asked her to come and sing on her family’s parade float. The town was fairly small, so each family was to make a float representing their family. They could decorate and do whatever they wanted with it. Claire’s family was musically gifted. So, they decorated it with old instruments and had Claire sing. Everyone else played along. It went great until the family had forgotten that there was supposed to be a driver for the float. They rewrote the music as to eliminate the father’s part on the piccolo, which wasn’t too hard. They then went on to win the best float competition later on during the celebration. The party had gone pretty well, except for one thing. Claire Wood was not one to fall in love. She would date guys, flirt, and act like a girl. But until she had graduated college and become a doctor, then she was going to stay away from getting too serious. There had only been one man she really loved. Carter. Carter was tall, tan, thin, smart, sweet, and well, the perfect man. Claire thought that maybe, just maybe, she could come back after college and find him waiting for her. Well, she thought wrong. As soon as she left, he went after her best friend, Danielle. She was sweet, smart, and perfect. Claire recieved the wedding announcement exactly 2 months after having left. She was devistated and decided never to think of him again. Until she returned for the sesquicentennial. He was there alone. No ring, no nothing. She approached him and said hello. “Where’s Danielle?” She had said. He looked surprised. “You didn’t hear? She moved away. Never came back. She just mailed me the divorce papers along with a wedding annoucement.” It was her turn to look surprised. “You mean you’re single again!” After she said, she knew she sound desperate. “I guess I am.” He then smiled. “Cool.” Claire said, heading off to get on her float. Now she was on a plane, heading home. Leaving once again the man she had actually loved. As she was sitting and thinking, someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned to see someone standing on the aisle. “I think that is my seat.” The man said. As he sat down, I realized it was Carter. “Carter, what are you doing here?” He laughed. “Did you really think I was going to let you leave again without ever knowing if you and I were meant to be.” I smiled. “I thought that you never liked me. After all, you married my best friend.” “Oh Danielle. I only did that to get your attention. Didn’t you read the note at the bottom of the invitation.” She hadn’t know there was a note. She pulled the invitation out of her book. It was holding her place. She read the note. Still waiting. Signed, Carter. She turned back to him. “You really were still waiting for me.” “Yeah. I was, but then you came and left so quickly. I never got a chance to talk to you.” She smiled. “Good.” She actually had gotten everything she needed. The guy, the job, and the life. Many years later, Dr. Claire Armistead walked out of her office to find a note on her car. It read, Still waiting. Signed, Carter. She laughed and climbed into her car. As she approached home, Carter came out onto the porch. “It sure took you long enough.”

Sorry. It's long. I tried to cut some things out, but without them, the story wasn't complete.

My whole life was normal right up to this point. After my father and grandfather passed away in a farming accident I lost it. I lost all control over my emotions. My whole life I have learned to hold in my feelings. Shove them as far down into my body as I can. My mom has never encouraged me to try. My teachers try to help, it doesn't work. As I am writing this I want to tell you something, right before my father and grandfather passed away my mom got arrested for drug and abuse. I've never told anyone that before. It makes me feel a bit better but I will never return to my normal self. I have had horrible things happen in my life, I didn't need more to add to my life. When I got the news from my adopted mother I didn't show any emotions at all. It wasn't until yesterday when Jen, my 'mother', tried to talk to me about the funeral and me missing school that I lost control. I didn't feel it coming, it just came. I didn't try to stop it from coming. Something inside of me said 'Magen let it go.'

I saw colors. And that was the last thing I saw.

I woke up in a net, kind of like a fishing net. I heard the deep voice of men. I heard the whispers of others. I heard the blodd being pushed into the testing machine. My bare chest was extremely cold. I moved my head a little and saw huge fish tank. It was about thirty feet across, forty feet back and seventy feet deep. It was full of fish. I saw a silver fish, saw a man take it, stick a needle into it and take some blood. They took the blood of every other type of fish in the aquarium. After a while, I heard one man say, "The Silver Fish is the only match."

That made my bottom half flutter. I was getting to cold. Soon, the net started lifting and it took me to the tank. The net flipped and I dove into the water. I sped into the bottom of the tank. All of the Silver Fish crowded around me. I flicked my tail, playing with my friends.

A crisp fall in the month of October. The sun was shining, leaves had falling and were blowing all around. There was this big house on Main Street, Hollywood, California. People say the house is haunted. IN 1980, 30 years ago, people that lived in that house claimed that they saw strange things, heard noises, and could feel things watching them. There is a legend that Mr. and Mrs. Baker lived in that house. Mrs. Baker died in 1978, she was buried in the town's cementary. In 1979, Mr. Baker died because of all the stress of losing his beautiful wife. People thought he died because of a heart-attack, stroke, or even being killed by an enemy of his. He wasn't buried in the town's cementary next to his wife, actually he wasn't buried at all! Since he wasn't properally put to rest, his spirit came back to "live" in the house. In 1980, a family finally moved into the vacant house. They had no idea what had happened in that house or in that town because they were new to the state. The spirit of Mr. Baker came out every night to get the attention of the family, but never could. In 1985, the family moved out of the house, and it was vacant for 24 years! In 2009, somebody moved in, it was just 1 person in a really big house, at least that was what he thought. Mr. Baker's spirit had not left that house for many many years. A year later in 2010, Mr. Baker's spirit got the attention of the man in the middle of the night. He was scared but calm at the same time. The guy was trying to figure out what the spirit wanted, after a while he firgured it out. The next morning there was an election going on, the guy that lived in the house went. He got up on stage to where the microphone was and told how he lived in the big house, the history of the house, about Mr. Baker and his spirit, and how Mr. Baker should be buried next to his wife in the town's cementary. The next week they found Mr. Baker's body and buried it next to his wife, where he should have been 31 years ago. October 14, the day Mr. Baker died 31 years ago and was buried 31 years after his death, will always be remembered.

    The End

P.S. nun of these dates actually happened, it's all made-up.

Searing Pain! Red Blood! It was all i could remember. The screeching of tires and the screaming of my mother. Then glass shards, flying everywhere. Pain in my shoulder, then my cheek. Now as i lay still and silent i think about what the docter had just told me. Mother. Gone. My right arm. Broken. My sister. Dead. And where was i to go? My Fathers house! The docter had told me they had finally gotten a hold of him. My Father. The one who had ran away after my sister was born. I remember visiting my father after my parents had gotten a divorce. But i hated the apartment he lived in. It was too bright, too small, too loud. I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to remember the good times i had spent with my mother and sister. Like when we went to the zoo, or how we all worked on the farm together! The look on my sisters face when mother and me had given her a American Doll for her birthday. Yes... i loved my family! At least half of my family. After my father left mother over worked herself, she was often sick and once tried shooting herself. I blamed all of that on the disapearance of my Father. I couldnt even call him my father anymore... once i knew his name again i would call him only by his name. I would never let him forget the torcher he put my mother through or the many years of tears my sister cried. I would never forget the moment my mother told me about the divorce and the last time my father hugged me. Would father ever hug me again? I wouldnt let him. No! To my father i would be the worst teenage daughter any single man can have. My father will regret leaving us! He will. I heard the hospital door open and Docter Sandra walked in, "Well how are you doing honey?" She asked me, sitting on the edge of my bed and feeling my forhead. "Fine!" I croaked out. Dr. Sandy, as most called her, clucked her tounge like a chicken. "Darling! You really must drink some water..." She said handing me a glass of water. I took a gulp and handed it back, "Thank you!" I said. Dr. Sandy nodded. "Your very welcome!" Then she looked at my closed door, "Theres someone here to see you." She whispered. Then as if on cue a man walked in. He had messy blonde hair and dark brown eyes! He was tan, tanner than i remember him. He stood tall and proud, but his eyes were full of sadness and misery. I couldnt understand why, but the man walked towards me and sat down next to Dr. Sandy. I wanted to stand up and get out of the bed, but i knew i would only mess up my broken arm more. Dr. Sandy turned to look at the man, "Hello Mr. Nord!" The man nodded but didnt take his eyes off me. I stared right back at him, but not with the warm gaze he gave me, instead i gave him a cruel icy look. Dr. Sandy stood up, "Ill give you two some time!" She said, leaving the room. Once Dr. Sandy was gone Mr. Nord spoke, "Well Dest! Looks like its just you and me..." He sighed. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to hold back tears as he said my nickname... "Dont call me Dest!" I said, eyes still tightly shut, "Call me Destiny!" I peeked my eyes open. "Alright! Destiny, you can call me Dad." He siad, starting a smile. I shook my head fericely, "No! I will call you Mr. Nord!" He sighed and looked down at his hands... "It would be easier if you just called me Alec!" Then i remember, what fathers name was! Alec! When i was younger i use to call him Ali. But now he would be named Alec. And only Alec. Nothing more, nothing less. "You ready to go home, bud?" He asked me. Bud? I didnt mind it, as long as he didnt call me Dest. I nodded, "Yes! But im not going home... im going to your home." I said tightly. Alec nodded, "Yes! My home..." I eyed Alec... he was holding something back.... i could tell. At that moment Dr. Sandy walked in with two suitcases, she handed the bags to Alec.... "Your free to go when ever!" Dr. Sandy walked over to me and helped me out of bed, she set me down in a chair so i could leave easily. "Have a good time in Texas!" Dr. Sandy said. I frowned and looked at Alec, "Texas? I thought we were going to New York..." Alec smiled sheepishly, "Suprise!" I scowled, one thing he didnt remember about me. I hated suprises!

The winds howled jostling the lacy orange curtains dramatically. I never wondered how I had gotten to this school in the first place but the thought never really came up much. Hardly ever really. The boarding school, Swanson’s School of Learning, lies in a large forest in Athens, Greece remotely hidden from a naked eye making an accidental entrance impossible. They teach you to fight and handle weapons and about government, democracy, and how stupid America’s government is. Strange thing to teach right? Well apparently not for them or any of the other students. My name is Arizona Alice Sypher, I’m sixteen, and I really don’t like to be messed with. Currently I am in the small dorm room I call home. It’s really pathetic too and it feels like being in a rubber duck. The floorboards squeak, the walls are painted a faint yellow, and the beds have orange comforters. “So wassup?” My roommate, Astrid Claxon, trudged in wearing ripped black jeans, hightops, and a plain black T-shirt. Her thick blonde braid threatened to break the small band holding it together and the old navy baseball cap lay crooked on her head. Astrid’s sixteen, like me, and her parents dumped her in this joint because they got tired of another mouth to feed. “Uh… Hmm nothing much.” I smiled leaning forward and snatching her cap. “Hey what the-?” Astrid laughed getting up and grabbing the hat back, “Uh I’ll be in the bathroom, be out in a sec.” “’Kay hurry.” I smiled laying back against the wall and reaching for my book to read while I wait.
Minute’s later Astrid hushed voice echoed from the bathroom. Naturally I went to investigate by pressing my ear to the wooden door. It sounded like a heated argument was starting. Who is that? I thought questionably… She must have a cell phone or something even though they were absolutely prohibited since the call could be traced back to this exact spot. I listened again hoping for a logical explanation, “I can’t leave! She may be valuable to our cause…” she paused listening to the person on the other end I suppose, “no I could care less about that…. No I-I refuse you can not-“ she was cut off by the voice on the other end. It was so loud I could make out that it was female and she was really angry. “Fine! Well I must go now. You must not remember the fact that I am trying not to look suspicious. I’m tellin’ you she’s smart.” She retorted angrily and I got a strange feeling about that “she” Astrid was talking about. She fake flushed the toilet and washed her hands then made a grab for the door handle. I quickly and accurately jumped onto my bed and cracked open my book but in my haste I had grabbed the book upside down. She walked out happy and smiling and talked sweetly instead of the angry voice she had earlier, “Homework done?” she asked and I made a face, “No.” “I am so not suprised.” Astrid finished plopping down on her comforter and fluffing her pillows before settling down.
The night terrorized my brain so much it hurt. Dreams came and vanished just like that. The first dream was in a wheat field and above me an inky blackness. I had no idea what it meant but hooded figures set fire to the wheat and screamed, “Down with democracy! Down with government! Down, down, down!” Then the second dream began with the American flag and the same hooded figures with torches. They chanted, “Down with democracy! Down with government! Down, down, down!” One of the figures stepped forward towards the flag and flung a torch at it and the flag burst into flames. They chanted a new set of words, “Burn! Destroy! Chaos! Chaos!”
I awoke screaming in confusion and a cold sweat pricked me from my sleepy state. I glanced over at Astrid to see if I had accidentally awakened her but she wasn’t even there. I also checked the bathroom and to no avail. Astrid Claxon was no where to be found. Sitting on her bed in confusion I began to realize; is our friendship all a lie? Well is it? I couldn’t be sure. Almost as immediate as I had awoken a small sticky note fluttered down into my lap and I picked it up curiously. “W-what in the world?” I stammered reading the scrawl that I recognized as Astrid’s:
    Our friendship is real.
    ~ Astrid C.
Well that answers my question. So it is real but then again why did she leave? Why leave when we have an awesome friendship to carry on? None of this made any sense. None. Another question lingered at the back of my mind, nagging at my nerves: How did she escape? No one ever has… And should I run too? “Don’t be ridiculous!” I scolded shaking my head and walking towards the open doorframe of the bathroom. “Ugh. Why is my life so difficult and not hair-raising and adventurous?” I was so confused I almost did not recognize the face in the mirror, which was my own. The reddish brown hair, the red more prominent, along with the dark gray blue eyes popping against my freckle free, pale complexion. Just ordinary. Plain and ordinary like everyone else, I wasn’t special. Astrid was special, I thought bitterly, until she left. She had the normal dirty blonde hair, messy side bangs over one popping and unrealistically ice blue eye, the tan yet pale skin. She was different and special.

Sorry it'ssoooooooo long but you would not understand it if it wasn't.
