WOW. Texting while driving? REALLY? Are people these days so addicted to their cell phones that they can't set them down for just a little while to traverse from one point to another SAFELY, thus ensuring not only their safety, but the safety of others? How selfish. You want to talk to someone? Get a Bluetooth for God's sake! IMPOSE THE FINE!
LOL, completely agree.
The case is that no one expects for anything to happen. What could possibly be the bother in making one little text, I only glance down for a split second. May as well be blinking is usually the thought process. And 99 times out of 100 nothing will happen. Many go through their entire life without anything happening, it is a mistake as simple as not checking your blind spot, and just as easily corrected. I say today's social mentality
i think it's a good idea. unless it's an emergency, you shouldn't be texting when driving. if someone texts you and you need to answer, pull over, or if someone else is in the car, tell them what to text the person texting you. And yes lizzie, people text while driving, but it's not always becuase they're addicted to itl. I had to write a report on why the driving limit shouldn't be raised to 18 and found out that ADULTS over the age of 30 text 63% MORE than teenagers while driving
But couldn't any text hold emergency? How can you know without checking it? For all you see is the name. Does that make it okay to check every text thinking that it could possibly be urgent?
Well I hope the states get the message and pass anti-texting laws.
Most of which have done so at this point. The question is will it make people more wary to text and drive or will they hold the same "nothing could ever happen" mentality as always?
