You can color the most stuff with colored pencils, but I think markers and crayons more fun. Crayons make you feel young and like everything you color is a coloring book. Markers are bold and more exciting.

I like colored pencils. If you use them the right way, they look great on paper. Markers seep through, and crayons are more chalky on paper.

    COLORED PENCILS ALL THE WAY.

Sorry for the all-caps, but all my life I've hated crayons. They are imprecise, (I would actually like to color inside the lines, thank you!) they're messy (flakes...flakes everywhere), and are the only drawing utensils of these that MELT.

Markers are very nice because they can provide spectacular and vivid colors. Although you can't often blend them to make new shades, like crayons or colored pencils. You also have to consider the type of paper you are drawing or writing on when using them, because they will probably bleed through your paper. And you'll only realize this AFTER the fact.

Good to know I'm not alone with that opinion.

Maybe I should have said opinions instead of opinion. But yes, that included.

I disagree. Crayons can be very precise, as long as the weilder chooses to be. And if you have a problem with that, you should simply get a crayon sharpener. They are only flakey if you buy the cheaper ones (which really aren't that much cheaper, depending on where you shop. Try crayola and you will run into that problem on a lesser occasion. I would count them melting as a pro (unless it is in the back seat of your car), you can put two or more colors in a cup, melt them in the microwave, mix them quickly and thoroughly, and you then have a brand new color.

Markers bleed and you can see where they overlap. They do have nice colors if you only need a line of color, but if you need to do wide space, crayons are your tool to use.
