This is the creed of the I Am Not A Book Snobbian. This group is about the celebration of ALL reading; whether it is a classic of the times grounded in brilliantly descriptive writing OR a light, fun book that is read for a quick story.
This is a group in which Jane Austin, Agatha Christie,the Twilight Saga, John Grisham, Charles Dickens, Children's literature and Harlequin/Mills & Boons novels are all discussed and equally respected.
Before you begin posting and contributing, here are some things you might like to know:
#1: Theme of the Month (TOTM) - Each month we have a theme and read as many or as few books that match the theme (this optional). There is a list of the themes for 2012 in our sister group (

#2: Author of the Week (AOTW) - A different author will be the focus of discussion every week in accordance with the following categories:
Week 1: Mysteries and thrillers, adventure and espionage, crime and legal drama
Week 2: Romance (all sub genres including chick-lit)
Week 3: Classics and literary fiction (including plays and poetry)
Week 4: Science Fiction and Fantasy (adult and children, all subgenres)
Week 5: Various (months that have 5 weeks)
#3: Author of the Month (AOTM) - An author will be voted in as AOTM from the list of AOTWs.
#5: Sister Group -
I Am Not A Book Snob: Reading Tracker and Directory. The group keeps a record of TOTMs, AOTWs, and AOTMs as well as reviews, member milestones and member threads for keeping track of your reading. The group is set to ''private'' so only group members can see it and participation is OPTIONAL.
